The more the merrier

The other day, I met up with my friend Katie (& her sweet girl) at Impress.  We scored since they were having 40% off their Christmas inventory.  I picked up the cute Poppystamps Wintertime Bears set:

Chuckling...how can you stop at just one coffee?! The More the Merrier!  I did a quick watercoloring with my zigs...I like the messy look...and that bear is a mess!  I used the Memory Box Large Coffee On The Go.

I picked up a bunch of those gold glitter American Crafts card bases at J's awhile ago.  I actually cut them in half and adhere them to the top of a white cardbase, more bang for my buck that way (wink).

The polka dot panel?  It's one of our favorite Christmas wrapping papers that we picked up at Target.  Did you see Jingle Belles' first challenge of 2017?  It's:

No Time Like the *Presents*

we'd like to see holiday cards that include the image of an actual present... OR which include some upcycled giftwrap that you've used in place of (or in addition to) patterned paper.

I'm also playing along with the Poppy Challenge:  Silent Snowflakes:

Did you notice the Cosmo Cricket - Pixie Paint in Candy?  It highlights the snowflake background which is a retired MFT Cover-Up that I used an embossing pad with in my cuttlebug.

Well, today is back to work for me.  I've had a glorious holiday and ate way too much!  Here's a peek at my New Years Day celebration:

Two Paper Divas Guest Designer: You always pop up...

Good Morning!

I'm so excited to let you know that I'm guesting for

Make sure you check out their BLOG and their STORE!

I had so much fun inking up

This set reminds me of the retro 50's, dontcha think?

I combined it with the always fun Cosmo Cricket, Early Bird {yes, I do have that collection and I hoard it ferociously!}

cardstock:  recollections/110/white  paper:  cosmo cricket/early bird  stamps:  two paper divas/just poppin' by  ink:  memento/tuxedo, copics  other:  reverse confetti/shakers 'n frames confetti cuts, may arts twine, little b washi

Check out the interior of the card:

I should have put a kawaii face on the toast!  Next time!

This is when I share a story when my boy was little.  I remember when he told me that he loved me more than toast!  Um yeah, in my book that's HUGE...who doesn't love toast?!  (smiling)  Hard to believe that he's graduating from high school next month.

I'd love for you to POP on by the Two Paper Divas blog and tell them Hello!

Fusion Card Challenge: a calm sea

This is post 1 of 3 for today...click HERE for my Neat & Tangled post and click HERE for my Whisker Graphics post!

Hello!

Welcome to the newest

I took the month of March off from the Design Team and now I'm back!  Check out this fun challenge:

I worked with the sketch this week:

paper:  cosmo cricket/snorkel  stamps:  stampin' up/adventure awaits  ink:  fresh ink/turquoise  other:  spellbinders circle, studio calico veneer

I'm plenty behind on all of the new goodies that I've ordered over the past several weeks!  This card uses some vintage Cosmo Cricket, Snorkel, along with my new Stampin' Up Photopolymer set:

Adventure Awaits:

I'm like most stampers, I started off with Stampin' Up.  I stepped away from them for a bit and now I'll back as their customer because they now carry photopolymer sets and I have to admit, I love their colors products, inspiration and more!  If you are in the market for a demo, contact mine, Tonya!

As you can tell, the image I used on today's card is quite large, it measures approx 3 inches in diameter.  My card is a standard A2 size.

I can't wait to see how you're inspired!

Make sure you check out the Fusion Design Team!

Neat & Tangled teamed up with Cosmo Cricket!

Did you know that this week Neat & Tangled has teamed up with Cosmo Cricket?  Cosmo Cricket has this great paper called, Just Add Watercolor.  It's amazing paper that you literally add watercolor to reveal designs!

See how the hearts appear with splashes of watercolor?

You can see them a smidge better in this photo:

The sentiment is from Neat & Tangled's

Any guesses where the corrugated cardboard is from?  I upcycled a Starbucks sleeve!

I have another card on the Neat & Tangled blog, here's a sneak peek of it:

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and I'd love for you to hop over to the Neat & Tangled blog to see my entire project along with some inspiration from my teamie, Miriam

Super big shout out to Cosmo Cricket for the fun goodies!

Fusion: fly.

Post 2 of 2 for today...click HERE for my Neat & Tangled post.

There's a new Fusion Challenge and I gotta tell you, this one is fabulous:

I know, which one to pick....or perhaps combine.

This week I was inspired by the photo!

Patting myself on the back because I used vintage Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride paper AND a vintage Melody Ross PL card before PL cards were so popular!

I used the Neat & Tangled

I die cut the box in 2 different patterns, on 2 different sides of the paper.   The blue polkas were die cut the opposite side of the grid paper so that I could use the contrasting patterns on my box.

I can't wait to see how you're inspired!

Make sure you check out the Fusion Design Team!

Love for you to check out my Merry Monday Guestie post HERE.
We have a special birthday hop HERE.

I'm super thrilled to the the Avocado Arts Guest Designer for April!

Did you catch the sneak peek last week of April's New Release

I had so much fun with this set:

What's not to love about flowers?!

Super cute bouquet, eh?!

You're going to absolutely ❤❤ this new Avocado Arts set!

This is a sorta kinda Bonus Project....some of you might recognize it.

This posted over on the Timeless Twine blog a couple weeks ago but I haven't shared it on my blog yet.

I used the oh-so-fun set

Hello?!!!  A Coffee set....Yes, Please!

One thing that I love to incorporate into my coffee themed cards is my stash of coffee sleeves that I collect.

So the latte has been paper pieced with a sleeve and the panel that the sentiment is stamped on is from the same sleeve.

All the stamping has been nestled onto a diner ticket that was RAK'd to me from the FABulous Kelly!

I'd super ❤❤❤❤ it if you'd leave me some of that bloggie love over on the Avocado Arts blog!

Amy T – http://tsurutadesigns.blogspot.com/ (you're here!)
So there’s your hop list!  You don’t have to visit everyone in order, but you do have to visit EVERYONE if you want to win the goodies!  And that’s your cue, friends!  Our winners will be announced on Monday, March 18th.  Happy hopping, and GOOD LUCK!
Here's my card for today's hop:

Oh my goodness...how can you resist that Some Odd Girls' Love Bandit's cutie pie expression?!!!!!!  Dontcha love the font on the 'hello' sentiment?  I stamped it with chalk ink on the wood veneer flag.

I finished my card off with Timeless Twine's Graphite Gray:

One tip when using twine:  I like to punch small 1/2 circle holes to 'anchor' my twine.  It doesn't distract from the overall design and it keeps everything in place!

Now hippety hop over my fab Teamie's
