Hey There!

Hope that you're having a great weekend...I'm poppin' in here to share a quilt-y card:)

Each of the Amy Butler papers are cut into 2 inch squares...this puppy is 6x6...humungous!  I wanted the squares to be large enough that you could really appreciate the colors and patterns.

The center label is via The Craft's Meow Timeless Tags set:


The sentiment is SRM.  Did you notice the stitching...like TONS of stitching..

I was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger:  Lovely as a Lullaby.


I'm a ginormous fan of quilts...if I had the time to pick up another hobby...quilting would be it...but sadly I don't have the time:(  I was curious about the Tuesday Trigger so I popped over to the Etsy shop...check it out.  

I was inspired by the Amy Butler'ish fabric and the stitching..Do you see the bling?  It matches the greenish/yellowish color...

Are you surprised?  I'm entering this into the Gallery Idol 2011 contest...

beautiful card ~ I love the papers you have used on it and I like that you made it large enough so we could see each individual pattern.
I wish I had time to take up that hobby as well. Maybe when I give up cardmaking.

This is so pretty! I really love quilting too and doing it with paper is the next best thing :>) It is faster as well. That is the only downside to quilting, it takes me months to finish anything. Did you try the paper quilting per the SCS tutorial? I definitely recommend putting adhesive on the base vs the individual squares.

We are so on the same wavelength. I was laying in bed night before last thinking about making cards. Im a huge fan of blocking and I was thinking how I could jazz it up a bit and thought, "hey, I could stitch it like a quilt"! Then I visit the GI gallery and there is your card! :) Amazing. Your card is just lovely-I adore thos AB papers and the stitching really does jazz it up!
