If you popped by here on tuesday, you read that it was my boy's birthday...if you're seeing this particular post on Wednesday, I'm behind and didn't get my normal Jingle Belle's card done for today because I was too busy celebrating my boy's birthday last night:)
Mobile crafting...I'm not so good at it. I can't seem to pack the right things...crafting at Darin's should be easy'ish...I have a Janome, a paper cutter {ugh, a purple cow one...I can't seem to get the right measurements?!}, ATG gun...the basics...they are all stored at his place...but not the paper and embellies...those are the things I need to pack. Well, I thought I packed my stash of Basic Grey Life of the Party Line...NOT...then I realized I tend to be all girly...not much in the unisex stuff...especially in what I did pack with me.
I did happen to bring along the Pebbles Happy Go Lucky line and was able to squeeze out a pretty stinkin' cute dude card:
My kids are my biggest fans {and biggest critics} of my work...the boy thinks CAS is lame...taking the easy way out...too plain...personally, I think CAS is a work of art...it has to be done 'just so'....anywho's...I was pretty pleased with this card...the orange circles? I used a votive candle base to trace the shape and cut it out..talk about good 'ole craftin'....you'll be happy to know that I got the 'thumbs up' on this card...oh yeah, note to self, bring a stash of envies to Darin's...LOL. The boy absolutely knew I wrapped the gift since it was in a Janome box and The Twinery Caribbean that topped off his package...{yes, I did retrieve the box and the twine!}....
Here's another pic from my boy's birthday party...me and darin...sooooo happy to have him in my life...
Life is Good.

LOVE the photo of you and D.
love this FABULOUS c&s card... and you can tell the boy from me *NO WAY* is it the "easy option" sooooo much work and thought and good design goes into working with LESS STUFF! (as we know, i CANNOT pull it off AT ALL!!!) :)
xoxoxoxlb♥
I totally agree with you on CAS cards. I would say it takes more effort to make a simple card looks simply gorgeous even though it seems effortless... I always struggle with that. The one you have here is simply awesome!
you rocked the cas card girl :)

The picture of you and your guy is great Amy - you both look so happy :)
one time i opened a present in front of the boys and they were so funny....after i untied the ribbon, they retrived it for me and said, "for your crafts". taught them well i guess!
love your CAS card!
