LESSology Challenge #1!

Hello and Welcome to the reveal of my project for LESSology's first challenge:

We are soooo pleased to have Creative Charms as our Sponsor!

There's not just one prize, there are two!

One for a merit winner and another, for a randomly selected player!

I started off my altered book challenge with this board book:

I prepped the book by sanding everything and then coating it generously with black paint...then I had some fun:

This book went to my man Darin:)  So, I knew I had to keep some of it CAS...he's a CAS kind of guy...

Remember to include at least ONE upcycled item on your creation...more on that in a smidge.

We recently celebrated our 3 year anniversary...so this book celebrated some of the things about our anniversary...

For those of you that don't know...I'm Canadian:)  Darin is born and raised in the good 'ole USA...a Montana boy:)

We met in August of 2008...one day I'll share that story but I gotta tell you, he's my soul mate...I'm so very lucky to have him...to be with him...

In February of 2010 he proposed and I of course said Yes:)

I wanted the CAS lines from the front to follow through to the spine and the back of the book...

An altering tip that I have for you?  This book had more pages than I knew what to do with so I adhered some of the pages together and made it a shorter book:)

There you have it...my altered book project!  Did you spot the upcycled item on my project?  Any guesses?

See that paper that covers the front/spine and back of the book?  That was an invite that was left for us when we were on our recent cruise...it was an invite to some kind of a jewelry show or something like that...I thought the design/colors were pretty so I 'pocketed' in my suitcase and told Darin that I'd probably 'do something' with it and guess what?!  I DID!!!!

I look forward to seeing your altered book so what are you waitin' for?  LINK up!

Ready to play along?

Link your creations by Sunday September 18, 11.59 pm EST. Please read the challenge rules to ensure your eligibility for our prizes.

Today starts the EAD Designs Color Challenge:

You'll have until September 22nd to link up!
