October Afternoon...

I missed out on the natural sunlight when I took this pic so my apologies...I tend to not be so much of a traditionalist on some cards...especially sympathy cards.  Ugh, who likes to make those cards anyways?  This is actually going to my ex-mother-in-law.  She recently lost her older sister...which leaves her with no other living siblings...sigh...I had the opportunity to meet her sister and always sent her cards at Christmas with pictures of the kids...

I broke out the October Afternoon for this one...

Although you can't tell, the October Afternoon patterned panel is matted on a Stampin' Up Early Espresso panel..I think it looks black in the photo. Everything is nestled onto PTI kraft...the SRM sentiment makes it a truly traditional Sympathy card but it is perfect for her.  I topped it off with a Prima bloom.

I was inspired by the challenge over at Case Study:

I love CASE Study

This week is Julie Lacey!

Her work is gorgeous, isn't it?  I was inspired by:

Her panel on top of the card base
The Sentiment Panel
The Zig Zag stitching

I was also inspired by the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

Are you kidding me...I absolutely LOVE that little space...oy vey.  I was inspired by:

The color Green
the pop of aqua
the vase of flowers

So there you have it....I'll be back tomorrow with a Scrapbook Sunday:)

Yes, sympathy cards are never fun, that's for sure. Yours is beautiful. I love the paper you used. Instead of all dark and muted, it's bright and pretty. Looks great mixed with the blue journaling card and the red label. Really pretty flower, too.
