recipe of life...

Happy Saturday!

I have tons to do today...get a pedi and take my car in for an oil change {in def order of importance!} along with some serious crafting this weekend.

I'm real time blogging and slammed this layout together this morning:

The base is super old MME...Life Stories...I love it for all the Kraft goodness...If I don't like the pattern, I'll flip the paper upside down and BAM I gotta full on Kraft Base:)

Today's pattern is recipes...hence my title:

recipe of life:

savor

Do you have words that are chock full of impact for you?  One of mine would be savor...to savor the moment....to savor the memories because time flies...to savor the small things in life.

Here's a close up of the layout:

The photo is by my boy and the model is my girl {what great teamwork, eh?!}.

I was talking to a former neighbor of mine and we were commenting on the fact of how quickly the kids are growing.  My girl is a junior in high school this year and although I wasn't one of those momma's that cried when she put her kid on the school bus for the first day of kindergarten {okay, I did follow the bus to the school..} I can guarantee you that I will be an emotional wreck when she goes off to college.

So, I'm savoring the now...

I ♥ this week's sketchy thursday challenge:

Okay, really Sketchy Thursdays is one of my "go to" sites for layouts....THRILLED to see that I was a 9/15 Fav ♥ !

RAK & BRAK

Check out the Owlie-licious card that I received from the fabulous Rose:

It's absolutely screaming my name!!!!!

Good grief, check out all these goodies I received from Angi!

I know, right?  That girl is generous...above & beyond!

Thanks sooooooo much ladies, you gals are supah stars!!!!

Do you remember a couple weeks ago I did a shout out for organizing tips?  I had 8 link ups but a gazillion tips from chickies that didn't link up and added it with their comment:)

So......Here are the gals that linked:

Send me your snail mails...okay, so I have some of them but send them anyways:)  I'll send you out something!

2 tips that stand out for me have to do with 6x6'ers:

Store them in the Photo Boxes {check...I just bought some from M's...KRAFT ones! Thanks Rose!}
pop them in Quart ziplocks so you can also store the scraps {FAB idea Alice...I'll send you out something too!}

So, if you're in need in some organizing tips...check out this post...pics with linkies and also read the comments!!!!

Thanks so much ladies!!!!!

what a great layout I played with that sketch yesterday just didn't post it yet. Maybe later today if I get the picture taken.
Good hints on the storage of 6x6 pads. I store mine in a clear box with a lid that I picked up at Target or Michaels. I go through mine about every 6 months and pull out the old and add the new.
Super fab LO--simple but packed with fabby details! LOVE the idea of flipping it over for a full kraft base! LOVE:) Great ideas for the 6 x 6 pads!! LOVE again!
I loveeeeeeee that lo! all that YUMMY stitching!! And yayyyyyyyyy for happy mail! Thanks soooooooooooooo much for playing along with Sketchy Thursdays! :):):):):):):):):):):)

Hi Amy! It certainly does seem like ages since I last dropped by! Sorry I haven't been such a great bloggie friend...

I do love your layout...simple, yet it makes a grand statement. Also love the burst of colour on a good old Kraft design paper!

Sending you big hugs from KL :)
