Sunday in Washington:
Dreary and Rainy.ick.
On a positive note I get to craft all day with some mandatory cleaning {ugh} intervals.
I 'should' be working on DT stuff but I wanted to play....
Paper Smooches Falling for You...one of my FAV sets.
I teamed it up with the EAD Designs Co-branding with Paper Smooches
I was inspired by the latest Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge:
Check out the fun inspirational pic...
Seriously fun graphic print.
I'm not much of a navy girl but LOVE the Pink Paislee print paper that I used. I adore using contrasting colored thread when stitching on dark paper...today I used a vintage orange variety. Can you see the leaves on the apples? I used a Marvy Uchida Twinklette pen in orange...it has glitter mixed in with the ink...super glitzy.
I used the new Unscripted Sketches:
I've been meaning to share the FAB RAK that I received from the spectacular Karen B:
I used some of that magnificent twine thread through my button on today's card. I didn't want to waste any of that luscious stuff so I cut 'just enough' of it to make a bow...and had to fuss with it forever to make it work...it was really too short of a piece but I was super persistent to not have to cut another strand of it.
I was really in the mood for scrapping today only to realize that my printer is low on one of the printer cartridges so my printing is b-a-d...I need to make a trip to Costco but in the meantime, I wanted to share this pic of me and my older brothers...circa 1971.
My brother in the middle of the pic cracks me up...dude looks like he just woke up...his hair is all over the place....nice terrycloth shirt too:) You just gotta love the 70's...Good grief, my other bro in the far left of the picture is STILL that skinny {no, not really but the dude can eat a ton and still stay slim...me? I look at a cupcake and I bloat up}.
For those of you that read my post from yesterday...I did have alot of fun at CKC. I wish it was more of a bloggers fest like CHA...I was hoping to recognize some local bloggers but no luck chuck. I did have a couple gals recognize me but found out that they actually came to my garage sale last month...now how funny is that?!!!!!
I may have mentioned that I should have been on a crafty buying freeze:
I failed...miserably.
After my volunteering and power shopping at CKC, I met some friends north of Seattle at the newest Hobby Lobby. It was the 1st time I had been to a Hobby Lobby and I'm pretty sure I was walking around with the "deer caught in headlights" kind of look...I could not believe how HUGE that place was...seriously...I was on sensory overload as I think I was still trying to recover from CKC. On a side note, I didn't spend much $ at all over there...a couple rolls of wrapping paper for Xmas and some gift tags...not too bad.

You may have failed at the crafty buying freeze but if you have to fail at something then that's a good one to pick!
Love the vintage photo!
P/s: Looks like you scored at the buying....lol
Love your card and the pix with your brothers..... priceless!
Know what you mean about the shopping. I made an early New Year resolution... if it's not 50% off (sale or coupon) or on clearance at a good price.. I don't buy it.
If I had a nickel for every time I said I was on a crafty buying freeze…I am on one now and I purposely don't go to Michael's, ACMoore, or JoAnn's so that I won't buy anymore…or see what I am missing out on :) I did go to Michael's yeterday for 3 items, and I left with just those 3 items: 5 sheets of Dk brown Bazzill , a 2-way zig pen to re-stick my Cricut mat, and a basket to sell my Christmas cards for the coffee shop. But if I had attended CKC, all bets would be off. I think those sorts of events should not count for buying freeze periods. And Hobby Lobby? Yeah, it's amazing :)
Looks like a ton of fun new loot from the weekend. I knew it would be impossible to resist all that goodness. Glad you allowed yourself a few treats. :)
love all the new goodies you bought! i think i have the same red gingham washi tape.
I do, however, love the navy and white background! Great job!
sounds like you had fun at CKC!!! and I didn't even KNOW there was a hobby lobby in our state. uh.oh.
