Hello and a big shout out to all of you that continue to be so supportive of my post yesterday regarding the double word verification.
I've actually had this week off from work and I've been having a glorious time...seriously enjoying myself.
Yesterday the kids & I got back from spending 3 nights at a 'beach cottage'...
Like thee most darling place...
White wood work and grey walls...love it.
There was an upstairs with 2 bedrooms, a full bath and a full size w & d!
We primarily ate in...made a huge pot of chicken fettucini...enough for 2 nites and we had pizza the other night:) Vacation isn't vacation without a bunch of junk food and watching TV together.
We also took a couple walks down to the beach...
The boy managed to find 1 whole sand dollar...I love those things.
This pic was taken outside the front door...it's super windy...my hair is everywhere!
me & the boy
what's that? Yes, I do have a girl...she's going to be 17 next month...need I say more?
No Darin this time...but definitely next time:)
Things I learned while on vaca:
1. bring my own ginormous coffee mug..those 6 oz mugs are for wimps.
2. I need a new gore-tex raincoat...mine no longer repels the rain drops.
3. My kids looked at my pink boiled wool slippers and said that they are buying me a new pair for my birthday...mine might have several holes in them:) I can't get rid of them...pink...boiled wool....come on now!
I'll be back at 9 pm pacific with a fun post...you won't want to miss it:)

ohh i love the beach! a beach cottage? even better!

ReplyDeleteOh, wow, how wonderful! And how beautiful! I'm SO happy for your beach getaway, Amy! The pictures are fabulous. And I had to laugh about your comment about your daughter....people don't realize half the time that I have a son because he's never in the picture. At 16, that boy is definitely doing his own thing. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks a fab time, uhm grey walls and white, got me thinking now! Love the picture with your son. Always have to have a big mug, everything else seems like a thimble to me LOL!

ReplyDeleteFabulous place you stayed in, Amy, I loved the pictures. and a sand dollar, just beautiful! You can probably find a slicker at one of the W or T stores for $5.00 or more. They sell them here for football games and they work. Back later for you next post!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a blissful getaway, Amy!!!! That cottage is ADORABLE!!! And being near the beach is always so relaxing and refreshing!!! Cute pic of you and your son!!! And I agree that 6 oz coffee mugs are totally unacceptable!!! HA! I'm a tea drinker, and 6 oz equals about 3 sips-----definitely need the GIANT ceramic mugs!!!!
