Inspired by Feature Tuesday....

Do you know when you cruise through Google Reader and you spot cards/projects that you just totally know who designed it without looking at their blog...I love that...totally sings signature style.

I don't think that I have a signature style, although you all know how I love to combine colors and patterns, and have to stitch on everything.

Well, yesterday I came across THIS gorgeous card and loved it.  I totally knew it was an Audrey creation.

It inspired this card...

I had to do without scallops because I didn't have my old school fiskars template with me...

New things to me:

patterned paper base the same size as the cardstock base
I never do that and definitely love this look.

Check out all that twine action
You know that I love The Twinery but my use is pretty basic on cards...I love the double wrapping and the loopies under the bloom.

Leaf-age
I love blooms but typically don't add a sprig or leaf...I like how the leaf adds a nice unexpected pop of color {see Sunday's post about whimsicality}

Thanks Audrey for all the inspiration that you give me....I truly appreciate your style!

All the paper is Echo Park Everyday Eclectic, the feltie bloom is Pebbles, the sentiment is vintage A Muse, green cardstock is from my May 2012 Studio Calico 35 mm kit and of course, The Twinery.

love the card Amy and thanks for reminding me. I never do the pattern paper all the way to the edges any more either. Wonder why I stopped?

I loved how you shared the process and your findings. Have you written a thesis before? This is a beautiful card. I see all the changes you talked about, like the leaf and the patterned paper, but I still see Amy here with the stitching and the clean style.
