Seriously Chock Full of Fabulous Goodness!!!!

Today I have 2 cards to share with you:

Here's my first one:

Maya Angelou.

I love her wise words, don't you?

I'm such a HUGE fan of sentiment stamps, so the Words to Live By set ala Fresh Squeezed Stamps is a FAV of mine.

Although you can't tell, the thread is a light gray to match the journal card.  It looks much darker in the picture.  I used a smidge of the wonderful chevron American Crafts Ribbon.

My card was inspired by the latest retro sketch:

....typing about the chevron ribbon:

That woven panel...it isn't huge, 2.5 x 3 but man, it was a challenge.  I've said it before and I'll say it again and again, I'm your basic lazy crafter...I stick to what works and don't tend to venture to new techniques so when I do, it's a big deal.

Those that know me know that creeps into my personal life...I have the same breakfast and lunch at work.  Boring...maybe, but I enjoy it and I've been struggling with my weight for the last couple of years.  I took the plunge and joined Weight Watchers in January and then CHA Winter & Jamaica happened..LOVED them but I ate, alot.  So I'm happy to say that AJ {After Jamaica} I've managed to lose 11 lbs.  Might not sound like alot but for me, it is.  I'm so petite and I seem to have a metabolism that isn't too perky..I look at a cupcake and gain 2 pounds.

This is a special card since I'm a happy spokes girl for the sentiment.

Sorry to go non-crafty on you, this blog is a journal for me too.  I'm also hoping that by announcing things, it'll make me stick to my resolutions.

okay, back to all thing crafty...

When I saw that awesome ribbon, I felt the need to do up a woven panel of it....my poor Janome was not happy having to stitch through all the layers of goodness.

I layered up the button with a fun little doily puffy sticker....the strip it is sitting on looks like washi, eh?  It's actually one of the 'top tabs' on the Yes, Please 6x6 pad.

There you have it...now hippety hop over to the wonderful Angi's blog

If you should get lost along the way, the Paper Made Bakery blog has the hop order!

Don't forget to enter on the Rafflecopter!

I am swooning over the woven card! So worth the time and effort, it is GORGEOUS!!!! And go Amy on WW....although I have seen photos of you and you are tiny!
Lovely card with green!!! And I support you 100% on the struggles of getting healthier and maintains a positive outlook!!! I am in the boat and if you go to my profile I started another blog to post my weekly progress, I think throwing it out there is totally healthy an makes us focus and keep it at the forefront! It is a slow process, but once you see the numbers roll back, I felt like it is like rolling back time to get life back, weird I know. So hang tough, keep it ever on the surface and all of the little decisions that you will make will soon show the positive results!!

Hugz!

Love that bright yellow and green against the crisp white, and love that sentiment. Gorgeous card with the camera paper and fun journaling card, too. The sentiment on the journaling card could not have been more perfect for that sentiment stamp.

Congrats Miss Lady!!! Awesome creations too!! :)

I love these. That awesome sentiment. And that woven ribbon. Totally rocks. :)

Congrats on losing that 11 pounds...even though you already look very small to me... Have you heard about the Fast Diet? You eat your allotted calories (based on your weight and height and level of activity...usually 1500 calories) for 5 days ...and for 2 non-consecutive days, you eat only 500 calories. The "diet" days supposedly jumpstart your metabolism and aid in weight loss.
Congrats Amy! Your blog is amazing and I am loving this blog hop so far! Your cards are so fabulous and fun! Thanks for sharing your inspiration and creativity with us!
