thinking of you.

Early morning crafting before I head out to the Impress Holiday Open House!

I've been wanting to use the feather die from MFT on a project and I've been neglecting my SRM stash:

I was inspired by the current

Did you see how the RIC DT was inspired?  Honestly, that team rocks.

Here's how I was inspired:

overall colors
black and white pattern = base panel (Crate)
wood floors = veneer (Studio Calico?)
sunglasses = polkas (Fresh Squeezed Stamps)

Do you see how I was inspired?

I got the "I don't get it." from Darin when he saw the card in the photo tent.  I tend to get that from the boy too when it is a card based on an inspiration photo.

Playing along with the gals over at

Here's to a crafty Saturday!

I LOVE all the unexpected elements - a subway map, a polka dot feather and a wood veneer - who would have how absolutely gorgeous they would all look together!

Such a unique combination of colours and elements make for a stunning card that, in my view, "gets" the RIC photo perfectly! Hope your Open House trip was fabulous!
