a note of thanks

Happy Sunday!

I received my latest Reverse Confetti order and couldn't wait to use them!

I teamed up my new goodies with Lawn Fawn's Dewey Decimal paper.

I have a thing for apples.  Did you know that:

Washington is the largest producer of apples in the nation. Nearly three out of every five apples in the U.S. are grown in Washington.

Red Delicious are the top apples.   For the 2013-14 season there were 33.75 million boxes shipped compared to the 2nd crop of Gala at 26.4 million boxes.

Did you notice the leaf?  I used wool felt, it gives the card a nice little pop.  I also shortened the tab with the sentiment and rounded the left corner.

I was inspired by

So what's your favorite apple and favorite fruit?

My current fav is the Opal apple, compliments of Costco.  It is a Washington apple that is a hybrid of Golden Delicious & Topaz.

My favorite fruit?  Pineapple

So fun, Amy!! The felt leaf is awesome - adds texture and a pop of colour! My fave apple: hands down - Pink Lady!! Fruit? Do berries count as fruit? Then raspberries!! I'm paying an arm and a leg for them right now, but worth every penny!!!

Fabulous card and your apple info - so interesting! I do like apples, but I'm terrible when it comes to eating fruit, mainly because fruits don't seem to agree with me very well. Berries, however,,,given the chance, I'd eat raspberries and blueberries allll day long! going back to admire your card...it truly is adorable! Hugs~c

Thanks for the info on the apples, now I can share with my students. You offer so much more than just card inspiration! :)
