chickaniddy crafts march pinspiration: hello love

Hello, I'm up on the Chickaniddy Crafts blog with some of my fabulous teamies!  Our assignment is called Pinspiration.  THIS is March's pins that we could pick from.

I used this fun photo as my inspiration:


I wanted to incorporate circles into my card design, along with the fun colors:



I am absolutely smitten with the Date Night Collection brads!  Aren't they fun embellishments?

TIP:  You can include household goods into crafting.  Those cork circles are for furniture feet so they don't scratch floors!  Bonus points since they are self-adhesive too!


Supplies:  Paper (DN14CP01; DN25OS12) Brads (DN14EB06)

In an effort to mirror the three cork circles, I added the mini cork bits.

TIP:  When I hole punched the cork circles for the brads, I kept the pop outs and added them to the journal card.

There's quite a bit of white space in the Pinspiration photo so I made sure that I had a border of white around the focus of my card.

So, what do you think?  I had so much fun putting together the paper and embellishments together!  The Date Night Collection has such a wonderful palette of colors, don't you agree?!

I am just so in love with that paper!! Beautiful background for a beautiful card! Still need to pick up some of those corks. Went to Walmart to see if I could find any, but no luck. But I'm not giving up!!!
