Hello!
Exciting day for me since this is my first official Whisker Graphics project!
A little background on me & Whisker Graphics. I've always gravitated to their bitty bags. I'm super lucky since our local Impress shops stock them! They don't just carry paper packaging though, they also carry Divine Twine. Some of my favorites are the solids and what introduced me to Divine Twine, Air Mail.
Okay, let's get started, shall we?
My Darling Daughter will be turning 19 in a couple of weeks so I've been having fun doing a 19 day countdown to her 19th Birthday. I've been sending her cards, texts with old pictures and fun facts about the year 1995.
Today I'll be sharing a small giftie for her:
For those that might recognize this, it is a Fabriano box. Truth be told, I think I've only given away one other Fabriano box. It's like gold to me but I'm learning to let go. My girl has no idea....as a paper crafter, perhaps you do.
I wrapped the box in black kraft paper and set it aside.
I then went into my crafty lab and did some experimenting:
I've always been a fan of tags and don't you adore Whisker Graphic's large pink tag? It's really a melon sorbet color and I discovered I could 'paint' a canvas bloom to match it! I just watered down some reinker and went for it.
My girl is really into polkas....she has several sweaters, tops and dresses with them. When I spied that black polka bitty bag, I knew I wanted to team it up with the pink tag:
I started off by wrapping the package with Coral Divine Twine
I then layered the Bitty Bag and embellies. That black polka is actually a punched cork piece that I sharpied in black.
The happy die cut was in my stash (Chickaniddy Foil Paper CN14SP002).
I'm certain that my girl will appreciate the polkas {probably not the fabriano box but no worries, I'm writing on the tag for her to keep it for me, she probably already knows that!}.
What's that?
You want to know what's inside the box?
It's the little things, right? A college student living on campus and all....
Life is Good.

AWESOME colors and love the polka dots!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to your daughter..
"Amy, I don't know how you do it all, and work for 20 different companies!!"
You must be one organized lady! LOVE your first project here. I hadn't heard of Fabriano so I checked them out. They sell bad parking post-its! Hahaha. It shows a car sandwiched between two others and says "nice park job". How fun would that be to use. Anyway, your black wrapping looks so classy. Love the pink and polka dot elements!
(PS. Can I just add that there's NOOO way you have a 19yr daughter ;) )
LOVE the polka dots!!!!!!
hugs
Laura
