happy winter

I had a friendly challenge with some bloggie friends...we altered some hinged tins.  I totally forgot to take all the photos, Vicki was so sweet to give me hers and I'll be sharing that this week.

Here's mine:

All the paper is from the Chickaniddy Crafts Collection, Jolly Good.  The enamel dots are MME/Freckled Fawn.

Here's the interior:

It's a winter survival kit, on a very small scale.  It has a pack of tissues, hand sanitizer and a lip balm.  This was gifted to my girl.

Speaking of my girl, she's back home with us for several weeks.  She gets her bedroom back which leaves me without an office so Darin helped me move my computer back into the 'ole craft room.

Over the weekend, we had some seriously lovely weather.  The girl and I spent some time at the Pike Place Market and then went out to the University of Washington campus to pick up the boy.  He had a Computer Science competition.

I love this pic of the girl.

On Sunday, I had a holiday gathering with some friends and we had brunch at Skillet.

This pic is for you, Yvonne:

“the ultimate grilled cheese” -
a classic done right, with brie, cheddar &
american cheeses on brioche toast
add bacon jam✔
add fried chicken thigh✔

That there was beyond delish.  Needless to say I didn't need to have any dinner that evening.
