Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Day Three: Happy National Cocoa Day!

We're up to Day Three of the Winter/Holiday Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Today's a special day:

December 13th:  National Cocoa Day!!!

We've always welcomed our Cocoa lovin' friends to the hop but how fun to have a special day for them!  You'll want to pop over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog because there's a special post in honor of today which includes are December Guesties.  I played along too and made a special hoop for today:

cardstock:  recollections/110/white, dcwv red, starbucks coffee sleeve  paper:  the girls paperie  stamps:  mft hug in a mug  ink:  ranger archival black, distress ink tea dye, fresh ink birch  other:  mft hot cocoa cups, stampin' up felt holly, embroidery hoop, memory box stitched circles

The LLD Hug In A Mug and Coordinating Hot Cocoa Cups Die-Namics are super fun to work with.  We have My Favorite Things as a Super Sponsor, the prizes are courtesy of Laina Lamb Designs!

I stamped my hot chocolate background with Impress Fresh Ink Birch.  I knew that I wanted my mug to be red to be the star of the show.  I've been hoarding some Stampin' Up felties and thought the holly leaves/berries would be perfect to top off my mug.  Do you see the hot chocolate?  It is from an upcycled Starbucks sleeve.

Oh, by the way, I googled:  what's the difference between hot cocoa and hot chocolate?

You'll want to pop over to the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog because all three of us used the same stamps and die-namics.  Fun to see how our projects look so different using the same supplies.

Before you go, I do have a bit of blog candy in honor of today!  Commenting is open until December 18th, winner will be added to Sunday, December 20th's post.

I have a couple packages of Hot Cocoa and Hot Chocolate along with a Starbucks Gift card!

In honor of National Cocoa Day, there are several FLASH Sponsor prizes being given away today...visit today's post over on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for more deets!

Amy, I loooove your hoop! It's adorablee, the chocolate looks so real, your textures are always amazing. It would look really cute displayed on a side table placed on one of those picture/plate holders. I'm huge hot cocoa / hot chocolate fan either way you slice it, lol. Even though it's like 70 degrees here today I'm still going to make a trip to Starbucks and savor a cup. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
Great idea! I love this festive holiday hoop!
Holiday Hugs,
Michele

Cute project. Using small hoops you could make tree ornaments. That would be cool. TFS
