I'm so excited to be a part of a collaboration between Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders! Today I'm sharing a project that uses the Spellbinders - Platinum 6 - Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.
I gotta tell you that I love the Spellbinders - Platinum 6! Why? It's a durable machine that also has a compact feature (photo one below is with the sides folded up, photo two below is with the sides down, ready for dies). Regardless if I have the space on my desk for a die cutting machine, it's generally covered in projects. I always tuck my die cutting machine away in a shelf that is close to my work space. I can still do that with the Platinum 6. Don't be deceived by the size, it's a great, sturdy machine.
Let's chat about projects, today I have a fun card that features the Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders. I die cut it in white with the intention of inking it up with distress oxides when I decided to mask it off with a sticky note and load it up with Versamark and Hero Arts Copper embossing powder. I love the crisp line and added texture that the embossing gives the die cut panel.
Check out all the wonderful details of the die cut. I love the silhouette look, how about you? To add a playful element, I backed it with Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Chill paper.
The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays stamp set.
I'll be back soon with another project using the Spellbinders - Platinum 6!
