It's the 8th of May which means the Reverse Confetti Blog Hop! Today's theme is: Summer
You should have arrived here from Heather Hoffman's awesome blog! If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the fun which is the Reverse Confetti blog!
Here's a peek at my projects:
I had so much fun picking out a couple of Summer Themed stamp sets:
Mahalo
Think Pink
Pineapple Aplenty
So do you see an overall trend with my card trio?
First up is the Mahalo card:
I used the Paper Bliss Paper Pad with all three cards. Do you spy stencil work? I used the Pointed Out stencil. It might look a bit ombre'. That was totally a happy accident, I tend to neglect cleaning up all the time. There was residual ink on the stencil and then I added Sunshine ink on top of it. I love the look.
TIP: Card set production can be made easier if you work with the same paper collection and card sketch
Ink colors I used:
Rose • Lime Green • Sunshine • Dark Roast • Midnight
Another recurring element I used was the Circles 'n Scallops confetti cuts for all of the main images to nestle on.
Next up is Think Pink:
Aren't you loving the Paper Bliss patterns?! So filled with fun colors and designs.
I think those sweet flamingos in Think Pink are so sweet!
Lots of foam dimensionals on this card. I finished off the card with pops of black.
My final card features Pineapple Aplenty:
I was having a bunch of happy accidents. I originally stamped out the Summer Lovin' pineapple with Sunshine + Rose ink. I didn't like the look, cleaned it off and stamped it with Piggy Bank. Well, in my haste, I didn't clean off the stamp that well because the Rose still stamped out with the Piggy Bank giving it an ombre' effect. How lucky was I?
The ink duo I used:
Pistachio • Piggy Bank
My cards were inspired by Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch:
That's it for me, next up is my teamie, Kathy Schweinfurth!
