My Favorite Things | May the Forest

There has been quite a bit of sad news in the crafty community lately.  Honestly, this year in general has been rough in that category, a friend of mine passed away in June, another person in my 'extended family' passed away earlier this month.

A crafty friend of mine lost her brother -in-law.  This card is one I designed for her husband.

Masculine and Sympathy is a tough duo.  I don't have much in 'masculine' stamp sets.  This MFT (retired) set, Forest Friends tends to be my go-to masculine set.  The Fun & Frolic 6x6 is filled with fun designs but I went more graphic patterns.

I did some free form copic coloring, similar to what people do with watercoloring...no exact coloring.  I was inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge:

I've never been one to design many traditional  sympathy cards.

In case you're interested, MFT is having a SALE that ends today:

Hope you're having a great week!
