Hello and Welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps - Hello Summer Release Blog Hop - Day Two! I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing hop. You should have arrived here from Brenda Noelke's blog. If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Honey Bee Stamps blog.
You should check out the new release HERE! It's amazing and filled with summer time fun! There's also a giveaway at each stop of the hop! Leave a comment on all the posts and you'll be entered to win a $25 gift certificate to the Honey Bee Stamps store. The full hop listing is at the bottom of my post.
I have two cards to share with you today:
Beach, Please! I love this release and had so much fun designing with it. Both cards start with the Beach Scene A7 Cover Plate:
My first card also includes the Sand Castle Builder and Sea Breeze stamp + coordinating Honey Cuts. Let's chat about the Beach Scene. I cut it with 5 different colors. I built it from the top to the bottom. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum and used the coordinating Honey Cuts. The Sand Castle Builder is so fun. I actually cut it from an upcycled piece of cardboard from packaging. The 'front door' has been cut from a Starbucks coffee sleeve for some extra texture. I distressed the cardboard with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide and colored in the flag with a white paint pen.
My next card is meant to be more of a sunset scenery, using all the same colors for the Beach Scene with the exception of the top coral layer.
I inked up a handful of images from the Hello Summer stamp set. I used an aqua and coral color theme. The copics I used:
G20
BG10 | BG11
BG13 | BG15
BG32 | BG34
E41 | E42
N2 | N3
The sentiment has been heat embossed in white.
That's it for me! Next up is the amazing Bobbi Lemanski!
