Newton's Nook Designs October | Holiday Release - REVEAL DAY 2 - Dear Santa Stamp Set + coordinating dies + Nutcrackers Stamp Set

It is Day Two of the Newton's Nook Designs October | Holiday Release Reveals!  I can't wait to show you how I was inspired by this release!

Today we're featuring:

Dear Santa stamp + coordinating die
Nutcrackers stamp + coordinating die

Here's how I was inspired, let's chat about the Nutcrackers set first:

This is a bit different for me but I decided to keep the images plain.  Here's my thought process.. This card is actually going to our grandnieces.  It's with the intention that they will each  get to peel away a Nutcracker [on removable adhesive], color it and then adhere it back onto the card.  They will get to write inside the card and send it to their Grandma and Grandpa [my sister-in-law and brother-in-law].

I also added the Circle Frames Die.  The sentiment has been heat embossed in white on the black panel.  The pink ring has been adhered with foam dimensional to add a bit more to the overall design.

Up next is Dear Santa:

I've combined the images with the Slimline Frames & Windows die along with the words from the Ornament Shaker die.  You might not be able to tell but the colors aren't necessarily traditional.  The Santa's suit is pink:

RV13 | RV15
BV00 | BV11
E50 | E21
W00 | W1 | W3
T0

I combined pink + lavender, to match the designer paper I used.

What huggable Santas! He's the real thing here. I really like the plaid, warm backgrounds for both cards.

Awesome, do adore the plaid in the background of both designs. Think the design that allows the children to be able to colour in the main characters to their tastes then reapply them to send them on to a relative, brilliant idea. Introducing the younger generation into crafts this way may encourage them on making their own cards.
