coffee | reverse confetti

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Can you believe that it will be February on Monday?  The time is going by strangely quick but slow at the same time, know what I mean?

I have a couple projects I wanted to share with you today.  If you've been following me for any length of time you know that I love coffee.  Coffee cards are probably my favorite to design.  I generally start with some stamped images and work from there.  For today's project, I challenged myself to not stamp on my card.  Here's how I was inspired using Reverse Confetti products:

I've been admiring a lot of graphic cards based on shapes:

So if you follow all three designers I'm sure you're nodding your heads for Laura and Joan.  I've always thought of Joe as a floral/color design genius but his recent birthday card with number dies had me thinking the diecutting possibilities.

My card designed came about after my coffee gift idea but let's start with my card.  The color palette was based on my other projects.    I ended up diecutting the circles in both the RC Aqua and Brick cardstock.  I was going to originally use the Circle Rays Duo as a focal point of my card and ditched that idea.

This simple card had me smiling when I finally put it all together.  The heart is from the Big Love confetti cuts.  The 'coffee' is from the Drink More Coffee confetti cuts.  I cut it from both Dark Roast and Premier Polar White.

The circle | heart elements have been adhered with adhesive.  The coffee word is on foam adhesive.  The base is Premier Polar White + Sand.

So, when I first received the Pencil & Treat Holder I wanted to use it with Starbucks Via's.  It wasn't working for me until I saw my teamies folding the holder in half and then boom:

I did some selective scoring, right above the semi circle and on the bottom I scored it twice so it has a gusset, is that the word I'm looking for?

Each of the holders have been cut from RC Aqua cardstock.  I used the Background Builder in RC Aqua ink.  The circle elements on my card came from this design.  A great way to tie the gifts to the card.

There will be a giveaway over in the Coffee Loving Papercrafters FB group!  Check it out over there around 5 am today.

I love your projects, amy... looking at the card, thinking if there were just two, it might look like heart eyes?
