{being} Happy and "Not Quite What I Was Planning" continued

I'm pretty pleased with this one...it is via the combined inspiration of Kristina Werner's ribbon weaving and Beatriz Jennings' Quilted Card. I tried {I really did!} to do some zig zag stitching but there were just too many layers. Although I was wearing protective eyewear {okay they were my glasses...I had a lazy morning}, I was scared the needle was going to "ping". Can you believe that I didn't have any coordinating ribbon? Sheesh...Luckily, I actually love the look of the prima flower {on dimensionals}, the felt flower {ala Stampin' Up's Flower Fusion} and the J's bling! The magnificent paper is Amy Butler. I absolutely **love** anything Amy Butler..luckily I haven't started to collect any of her fabric, yet.

Okay, Carla of Paper Pastorale got me...I should throw out my six word memoir:

or
Karma....things happen for a reason...

This is great! Nice colours and I love the big, white flower. I saw Kristina's "woven paper" tutorial too... it's years since I've used woven paper, so maybe I'll try it again soon!

I love anything Amy Butler too... I have the pink and green flowery scrapbooking bag/tote - it's brilliant!

YIKES! Now I have to put my money where my mouth is! I'll think about mine today and post tomorrow-great job on yours!

The card is wonderful! I've never done the paper weaving. Well not as an adult, remember doing this with construction paper in the fourth grade or thereabouts? I hate the feel of construction paper. I've been a paper snob my whole life!

Cheery and happy as all get out! Love the mix you've cooked up with the green and pink and big white flower! YUM!
Wow....Amy I really love this card. You did an awesome job and it looks great without any ribbon. The flower is PERFECT.
Amy, this is a jaw dropper! It's absolutely stunning, and I think all the better without the stitching! Beautiful layered flower, and the bling is just perfect!
