Heart & Home

Caardvarks....love their challenges....this is for their current one...hearts. I've been seeing paper pieced homes and wanted to give it a try. I just love that "look"....it is soo sweet and actually reminds me of Claudine Hellmuth. I have been having sooo much fun with the wooden hearts that I picked up from the Lemon Tree Studio etsy shop {I went back for more and picked up another pkg of them!} that I knew that was going to be my highlighted heart for the challenge. Sometimes it pays to not clean up after yourself because I caught sight of the heart shaped bling from A Muse that I used on an earlier project and decided to pop one on the heart to top off the "i" in the word "is" {a muse sentiment}. I janome'd the house but didn't dare try to accomplish the tree...although that would have been spectacular...I can only stitch straight..kwim? What better paper to use than Amy Butler? The tree is from Kim Hughes' new Spring Trees set. Gotta love the Kim Hughes/Cornish Heritage Farms stamps...they are magnificent and stamp beautifully!! I've sooo been on a butterfly kick and had to pop one onto my card....
