cranky joy

Hello!!!!

I'm always super proud of myself if I can manage to do multi-tasking on projects.

First up is the 365 Cards Torendi Week Color Challenge:

I used CP36 as my sketch:

The a-dorable owl is from the You're Tweet set from My Cute Stamps:

Ready for it???

Wooooot Woooooot!!

OMGoodness...I had sooooo much fun putting this card together!!! The Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper, American Crafts card base and the Shinzi Katoh "joy" Linen tape is from the Torendi October kit!!! Oy, that linen tape is over the top stinkin' CUTE!!!

Sooooo....are you wondering about my title?

Cranky Joy

No, I'm not cranky..lol..{actually maybe a smidge..read on} it is referring to the fact that I hand cranked my Janome sewing machine wheel around all the elements that have stitching...

1. It was super early...like super early in the a.m.

2. I'm not a seamstress...I'd totally mess up if I didn't hand crank.

I can't wait to see what YOU do with the 365 Cards Torendi Week color challenge...

Okay, onto a very NON-Crafty oriented subject:

T-Mobile Sidekick

I cannot be the only crafty blogger that uses the T-Mobile Sidekick....anyone else out there that has been hit by the crash of the Sidekick Microsoft Danger network????

I certainly wouldn't consider myself a techie person but what I AM is highly dependent on my phone...my address book...my notes...my pictures...**poof** they are gone.

It actually all started the day before I left for Florida...for a majority of my trip I didn't have my addy book, my email, my internet...well, my email/internet has been restored but everything is gone..I realize that in the 'big picture' having cell phone issues is small compared to the other bigger problems in the world, but if YOU have been hit by the Sidekick mess...please let me know OR if you are currently a T-Mobile customer and have a phone that you just love, please let me know:)

  7. OMG I know what you mean.. I don't know what I'd do without my phone. I have all my appointments listed on there. I'd miss all kinds of stuff if I lost my info! Sending good vibes your way for a better day today. Great card BTW! I can't believe that you hand cranked all that stitching. Color me impressed!

  11. Very cute owl on your card today Amy I love it. Don't you just adore the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper pad? I cannot get enough of it lol. BTW I know exactly what you mean about being without your mobile phone, it is how I stay in contact with my youngest daughter Ash now that she has moved out of home *sniff, sob*. So if anything happened to my phone I would go nuts and rush out to get another immediately hehehe

I'm super dependent on my phone as well. Would not survive without it. I have an Iphone so unfortunately, I'm with AT&T. But before that I was w/T-Mobile and I really miss them!!! They are the best to deal with.

  29. twill tape is to die for! how smart is that?! About the sidekick...my son uses one but I don't know much else. Someone from the school district supplied it for him at no cost because of his hearing impairment... I hope yours gets fixed and puts everything back where it's supposed to be!

  31. Love the card. Great sketch too! Hand cranked?! I may try doing it that way since I am so stinky at sewing. Soon as I figure out how to wind a bobbin and thread the machine....

Sorry about your phone. This is why I don't use my cell except in dire emergencies. Unless my house burns down, I cannot lose my junk. LOL

  32. That is one cute card you did for 365. I got down to doing some so will upload tomorrow! Sorry to hear about the loss of data... sucks when that happens! Are you not able to retrieve from the memory card? There is a software that can retrieve loss info... do find out.
