peace...

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day over on the 365 Cards blog. Today's Challenge:

"Peace" Be sure to include it as the entire sentiment or as part of your sentiment.

I give you my "Peace Tree":

The supplies on this particular card are primarily from the Mac Mae Holly-Days Kit. It seriously rocks...The 'Peace' embellie is from my stash...it is actually an ornament. Everything else {excluding the CB folder that I used} is from the kit..

I wanted to do a different style of card and am pretty happy with the design. I'll write my greeting on the back of the tree so that when it is on display {there I go assuming that the recipient won't recycle it...gasp!} the writing will not be distracting.

{side note: I have had someone tell me that they throw my cards away...okay, I get it that non-crafty peeps might not appreciate the time that it takes to make a card....I get that some peeps are neat freaks and don't want to keep stuff...BUT...to actually say that to me...face to face...{me shaking my head}...oy...P.S. Do I still sent that person cards that I create? Yes, absolutely..}

Anywho's....I hope that YOU will join ME in the 365 Cards FUN!

Next up is a little 3x3 card I made via the Holly-Days kit:

I trimmed the cardstock a smidge so that the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly sticker would fit nicely. I'm going to team this up with an altered tin filled with cocoa...you'll see that sometime soon:)

Well, last I heard they are predicting snow on Friday...that makes my kidlets happy {did I tell you that my brother was calling them KIBLETS...good grief...I told them they aren't dog food..sheesh}. It would make me a sad crafter as I have been gearing up for my Holiday Trunk Show that is scheduled for Saturday. Luckily I will be bringing in my goodies into work next week in hopes my co-workers will take pity on me and help fund my crafty fund...LOL...seriously.

Well, remember to come on back tomorrow for some Get Sketchy goodness!

Lovely as always!

I keep all the cards/letters I get...from when I was a teenager...about 3 boxes full...with the original envelops/packaging ...I'm terribly sentimental...I've 2 original Tsurutas and I'm keeping them!

Amy - Love both of your lovely cards today.
Your brother calls your kids "Kiblets" now that sounds like something my brother would do.

You know it really is hard for me to give my cards to people that just don't get it. I still do, but I'm pretty sure some of them just think I'm being cheap and making cards rather than buy them. They certainly don't get the time involved!

Love the little tree! It's so cute!

Wow, I can't believe that a person would say that to your face! I know people throw my cards away...but I don't know what I would do if they said it face-to-face!

My brothers are hoping for snow as well. Don't they realize it can be inconvenient?! ;) Here's to hoping that it doesn't snow so you can still do your trunk show and I can carry on with my plans. :)

THROW YOUR CARDS AWAY?!!!! That is just plain insanity!! I personally keep all the cards I get from fellow craft peeps, but at the very least, cut the front off and recycle!! My SIL uses my cards as scrapbook page embellies, love that idea!

Gorgeous creations missy! Love the clever tree design and the Jolly by Golly one is so cute!

Stay warm!

i like giving cards to people who don't expect them and who really appreciate them... family members, co-workers (most of the time), and some friends. it depends on the person. i actually will be giving store bought cards to some people this year for Christmas that i got on clearance after the holidays... just makes it easier when i think about whether they might throw something i made away.

and OMGoodness! LOVE that tree card--simple but so so cute :D and that CC card is delish--LOVE.

i want snow so i don't have to teach :D i'm as bad as your kids ;)

Fabbie job, as always! I want to get a stamp for the back of my cards that says:

This is a HANDMADE card which took lots of time, patience, and money to create. If you toss it in the trash I WILL hunt you down and hurt you!
