Hello & Thank you very much...

The week is simply flyin' by!

Here is my take on the EBTKS challenge #3!

Here is card #1...do you remember what I said yesterday that this week I was making multiples of cards? This is another one of those...

I tell you, I just love the toast and toaster...soooo stinkin' cute...I will never tire of the Early Bird Line...have you seen the sneak peeks of the new lines that are coming out by Cosmo Cricket? OY!

The Hello is an American Crafts rub on...I have lots and am determined to make a big dent in that hoarded supply!

Here is card #2:

The Hey There Cookie always makes me smile:)

I also played along with FTL74...

I teamed the FTL with the Colour Create Challenge, {thanks to Laurel since she IS the challenge Queen}:

This is what happened:

I inked up the oh-so-sweet Hero Arts owlie that super fabbie Janice gave me...thanks sista!!!! I paper pieced the image with Speckletone kraft..adding a prima flower, pti button and of course, Kaiser Crafts pearls....everything is nestled onto my much hoarded Gmund Savanna....111 lbs of texture'licious goodness:) I also designed this for Paige's fun challenge over on the Cards blog...trees/branches...

Okay, there you have it for today...crafty-wise at least. I wanted to share a note that my boy {he is 12} left me the other night. He borrowed my netbook to do his homework on it. I said that it was fine that he borrowed it BUT he had to return it to the dining room table when he was done so that I didn't have to search for it when I woke up. Well low and behold on Monday morning my laptop was where it was suppose to be along with some $$$ and a lovely note that he wrote:

Thanks for letting me use your computer!! I finished at 11:30! woo it feels good to have no homework!! Could you do me a favor? Text Haiti to 9-0-9-9-9 to donate $10 to help support our Haitian friends. This donation will go directly to the Red Cross and help aid those in need in Haiti. Did you know that Haiti was and is still today one of the poorest countries in the world? And as of today they are still receiving after shocks of up to 5.0 magnitude! The initial blow was made to the center of Haiti and was picked up by a earthquake detection center all the way in Portland, Oregon . As you {should} know Haiti is all the way over near Florida! I encourage you to donate also!

Okay, since I'm his proud Momma I didn't think that there might be some slight plagiarism but WHO CARES? He donated $10 of his own money to Haiti..How super fabulous is that? That's one of those, "Dang, I must be doing something right" kind of moments...nah, my boy is filled with kindness and empathy...he constantly makes me proud.

I was kind of apprehensive to do the text so fell back on the good peeps of Amazon. What I ended up doing is donating his funds along with mine to Mercy Corp via Amazon.com.

I tell you...moments like that make me realize what a lucky Momma I am...I absolutely love & adore my kidlets.

Oh, sweet girl! Not only did your cards leave me breathless and writhing on my "non-yet productive," scrapbook room floor, but the story of your boy made me leap right back up ~ FOR JOY! I have a newly crowned 12 year old, who's been slinging out some pretty profound remarks about Haiti and life in general and MAAAAAHHN! It's like gas in the old tank that keeps me GOING! Great share, on all accounts! {You are a lucky MOMMA ~ but so are your sweethearts!}

Have fun in CA at CHA. You will be doing the cha cha cha. I wish I could go to the one in JULY. I did get to go once when I worked for Anchor Paper.
