Happy World Card Making Day!!!!!

A day dedicated to a hobby that I love....Life is Good!

This is a multi-tasking blog post....if you are here for the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop, you should have popped over here from Wendy's blog:

Paper Therapy

***Skipping Stones Design/Susan G Komen Foundation Update***

Skipping Stones Design is soooo very close to their goal and has extended the $3 per stamp set donation until Sunday at Midnight!!!

There is also a fun referral contest going on at the SSD blog! GO check it out HERE!

I thought I'd highlight a couple of my favorite Skipping Stones Design sets but be sure to check out the STORE since there are a ton of different sets...seriously, something for everyone!!!!

Bras Volume #2

Funny Coffee Vol. #1

Here's a card I posted previously using the Funny Coffee Set:

The next stop for the Skipping Stones Design Blog hop is Kandi at

Krafty Kandi Krafts!

I also wanted to share a giftie that I made for a friend of mine...

All the images are by E.A.D Designs...I used the Fly away with me Stickerz and teamed it up with Cosmo Cricket's Togetherness...the hinged tins are so versatile!

Joyful Things...

Love that saying...tons of stitching on the cover panel...

This is an interior shot....on the left side of the tin I covered the inside of the lid with another panel of CC Togetherness....inside are 4 scrapling style cards...they just don't have a fold...

I love the whole hot air balloon trend...the Stickerz made them so easy to paper piece...

You knew that there had to be a banner somewhere:)

Although, it isn't pictured, I supplied 4 glassine pouches for the faux scraplings. The hb2u is Lawn Fawn's harold's ABC's...the beauty of the gift is she has 4 different cards and a 'treasure box'....

Great little giftie and something that I had a BALL making...

So what are your plans for today??!!!! I'll be crafting most of the weekend...woot woot!

♥♥Blog Candy Alert♥♥

Well, in honor of World Card Making Day, I've decided to sling out some blog candy...don't know what it is but it'll be good:) So leave me a comment...tell me what you love about making cards or perhaps what you love about blogging...easy smeasy:) I'll leave the commenting open for the blog candy until Sunday, October 3rd at 11:59 pm PDT {heck, I think of it as World Card Making WEEKEND!!!}.

**edited**

I've added a pic of my blog candy to my side bar...sorry...this post is ginormous and it pains me when blogger wonks out my posts when I add pics after the fact...grrrr...so let me explain the candy....my bloggie buddie Sherry started my collection for me....I get possessed when I try to find stuff and I've visited a couple M's stores to complete my set and this morning I hit the jackpot soooo....I bought 2 of everything...one for me and one for some lucky random commenter!!!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

Love your tin and the whole tin idea. You transform them like no one else. Let's see, to answer your question...I really love blogging for the people. Truly. For instance, I love coming over here every day to see what you've created, to read your stories and that makes me feel like a friend even though I've never met you. And it makes me feel really really bad that I haven't sent out your birthday card yet. Seriously, so sorry. It's sitting on my desk, well, I found it-kind of buried. I'll get that out soon.

I just love that cards can be created start to finish in a matter of minutes. And you can make each card to suit the style of the recipient. You can make it as personal as you want. I hope you have a great weekend!!

Love your card and gift tin and the candy is fab. I'll be doing lots of cardmaking this weekend for sure.

I love cardmaking because it gives me a creative outlet. I also love the feeling of community and camaraderie in sharing a common interest, both online or getting together with friends to make cards and have a chat.

And then there's the giving and receiving of cards - also a joy.

Busy on the blog today - what a cute balloon project and a sweet gift for your friend.
That is what I love about cardmaking - each on is a little crafty handmade gift you can give to the people you care about.
Have a great weekend!

tins are so fun! love yours!

i still love all those colors and papers in that coffee card! yummo!

BTW, it irks me too when after you think you posted pics in the order you want it and you either end up forgetting one or accidently deleting one....definitely not worth re-doing the whole post. BUT, you know there is a way to "squeeze" in a pic or rearrange, right???? email me if you want to know =)
What a fun project and those scraplings are so cute and individual. As for blogger, check out this feature which the very smart Joni shared with me...it will make adding pictures a snap, you just put the cursor where you want the pic to be and then add it. Plus you can resize, etc.

Happy World card making day! I am always inspired by your card and sketches used. I love the variety of papers and items. I love to make cards simply because it is so creative and you do not have to be an artist that draws or paints. I also love how sending a handmade card makes any day special. Thanks for a chance to win the blog candy!- Leesa Berry
