I announced this earlier on my blog but now I feel so official with my bloggie badge:)
Let me just chat about how I got myself into this:) I was blog surfing one day {cough, cough...I have 900+ blogs in my google reader!}...and came across a post on someone's blog {my memory stinks so PLEASE pipe up if it is you because I want to thank YOU} that chatted about Drew Scott. Talk about talented...15 years old...running a blog...running a scrapbook kit club...being home schooled....& almost a 4.0 GPA....I was truly INSPIRED so when I read that he was having a Design Team Call, I submitted:)
Imagine my surprise when I was picked up! This is my first Scrapbooking DT and I'm thrilled!
I received the October Scrappy Happiness Kit on Saturday and went to work:
Do you remember being totally FEAKED out by the Flying Monkeys in Wizard of Oz? So I chuckled when I put this tag together...I fussy cut the monkeys from a sheet of Graphic 45. The button, tag and black cardstock are from my stash:)
Here's a layout of the boy when he turned 12:
Everything is from the kit except the alpha and button. I'm a huge fan of birthday's...love them!!!
I was inspired by the sketch over on Pixie Dust Paperie:
LOL...here's another one of the boy...
Are you crackin' up...he was 9 years old...it's a combo of Mork and a clown...tooo funny. I'll have to post the pic of me in the wig...you guys are going to d-i-e! I used some alcohol inks to die the prima blooms. Everything except the black cardstock came in the kit.
Here's my last layout:
Home is where the ♥ is...
I love that saying...I'm lucky to have a couple houses that I call home:)
All supplies except the alphas/keyholes/heart are from the October Scrappy Happiness Kit.
Well, the October kit is sold...sheesh, totally popular kit club...sooo join today!
The club is only open for new members for another 5 days until the 10th and then you will have to wait until next month! Why wait? Join today:)
