I've been having fun creating clean & simple cards:
When I saw Tui's card, I knew that I wanted to play along with the gals over at Our Creative Corner:
Tui colored her bloom beautifully but I decided to go with paper piecing. The Martha Snowflake Mat Stack has some great year round patterns...isn't that red geometric one perfect...the pattern is micro and FABulous for paper piecing!
I came across a new-to-me challenge site when I was checking out Julie Smith's blog, Paper and Such:

Okay...onto super serious stuff here...
I know that I'm not alone in the frustration in the new {double} word verification that seems to have hit blogger:
I am not a robot.
I am just someone that wants to leave you bloggie ♥
With well over 1,000 blogs in my Google Reader, I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of word verification.
{True story, my DD asking me why I was squinting and turning my head funny...YUP, I was trying to decipher the letters on a &^%$ word verification...at this point, I'm thinking anything will help in trying to figure them out...LOL}
I absolutely L♥VE my time checking out blogs full of inspiration....but have strong opinions on word verification vs. comment moderation.
Don't even get me started on using my Google Reader via my phone...ugh, I could not begin to imagine what a nightmare THAT would be with this new verification system. This is where I should insert that I do a majority of my blurfing on my iPod touch...like alotta blurfing....
So here's the deal...
- Do you know that you have word verification ON?
- Why not switch to Comment Moderation?
- Check HERE on how to Turn OFF word verification. {{big shout out to the FAB ladies of Freshly Made Sketches for their post about word verification!!!}}
Have other concerns about turning off your word verification? EMAIL me...let's chat about it.
I could seriously go on and on about this but for the peeps that do NOT use Word Verification ♥ High Fives ♥ ! Not a fan of the new double word verification? Squak about it...maybe with paper crafters uniting on this, Blogger will do something about it...

OH GOD Sista!!! ..I'm so with you!!! with the new {double} word verification !!! As it is my eyes!!! are not 2 but 4... imagine me on the bed..trying to leave some bloggie love...one lucky thing...I don't have that many FANS...Phew!!! High fives to you .... And I'm with you on word verification! My eyes hurt...LOL
...but then i read the word veri thingie... and got totally distracted!!!!!!! b/c YEAH even regular word veri drives me NUTS and now they have gone to the TWO words AND made them harder to see, so just THAT step of commenting takes like 15 years each and just makes me wanna go back to bed! FACT: *you* lovely missus get more comments than anyone i know EVERY SINGLE DAY, and if you don't have a problem, then let's face it, most ppl are not going to! yeah, every month or so, i get ONE SPAM that i either delete (if i feel like it) or not. i don't even do moderation, but i've disenabled ANONYMOUS comments, and it seems to be FINE. thank you thank you thank you for posting this and for offering to "talk thru" with anyone who's worried about it, i'm pretty sure this post will do more than blogger EVER COULD towards the crafty comments cause!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

I am so with you on the word verificatin. I'm just about to the point where I'm not going to comment if it's on...it takes too much time when we have lots of blogs we'd love to visit.
I hear you on that word verication issue.
Second, I so agree with you about the word verification! It's bad enough that it stops your flow and then google changed the style of it?! I honestly can't see it, why not have a simpler verification format? I usually can't read half the word! lol!
I totally agree with you on the comment verification..... It's so difficult to read and takes precious crafting/blogging time :0(

Word verification is killing my patience and my eyesight..lol
And about the words...I also made a blogpost about it...I also turned my head in crazy ways....and told that I won't leave comments anymore if someone has this on...it makes me crazy, and I love to blog to but not spending 6 minutes on two words!
As someone on a Challenge Blog DT, we ask people to turn word verification off and it's ridiculous how many people don't...when we get 200-400 entries each week, lately, it's just not fair or considerate...
LOL, anyway, I tend not to dwell on it but, I don't like it!

I totally agree with ya - I don't even understand why people have it on when you can just moderate comments anyway!

Amen, sister, on the word verification. I hope all our crafty friends will turn it off. I use comment moderation only on posts more than 2 weeks old. I've only had 1 spam post and blogger caught it.
And, yes, I'm with ya on the new double word verification~so darn annoying :=O
