happy birthday

I was a busy girl the other day and managed to make several cards....although a majority of them won't be posted until next week, I always feel so accomplished when I can be super productive.

paper:  carta bella/hello again  stamps:  paper smooches/sentiment sampler, blossoming buds  ink:  hero arts hues/black, stampin' up white embossing powder  other:  martha stewart wool yarn, papertrey ink vellum, freckled fawn enamel dots, paper smooches coffee & tea/gift tags 2 dies

I haven't played along with the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge in awhile!

I've always been a fan of the Designer Drafts Challenge:

Seriously, the Blossoming Buds set is one of my favorite florals!  Did you notice the 'vase'?  I used the Coffee & Tea Dies...love those and really it's such a great price for dies.

you add color to my life.

purple

I don't use it much in my designs but I love my Martha chunky wool yarn so I was happy to incorporate the lavender color into my card:

cardstock:  recollections/110/white  paper:  studio calico  stamps:  paper smooches hot concoctions/blossoming buds/I heart art  ink:  memento tuxedo, various copics  other:  paper smooches notebook basic die, Martha wool yarn

Gotta love the Picture Perfect challenge...

Awesome inspiration...

I managed to use 3 Paper Smooches Stamp Sets:

Hot Concoctions
Blossoming Buds
I Heart Art

I've had the Notebook Basic Die for a smidge so I happily used that in today's card.

I wanted to share the 2nd bouquet of blooms that the kids gave me over the weekend that has become my profile pic (for now):

Aren't those pink peonies just beautiful?  They took their grandmother to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and picked these up for me {and that cute nautical notebook from the T$ spot!).

Thanks for stoppin' by!!!

love you

Happy Saturday!

So Friday's are really the start to my weekend.  Yesterday I may have rolled out of bed at 1:30 or 2:00 am...I know crazy!  I was super productive but this is when I also tell you that I have to take daily naps!

Here's one of the cards I made yesterday:

cardstock:  pti  paper:  pebbles homemade  stamps:  paper smooches/falling for you/denim & daisies  ink:  memento tuxedo, copics  other:  martha wool yarn, heart brad/impress

There's something about apples.  I love them, both in crafting and consuming.
{Fuji's please & thank you!}

I'm a huge fruit-a-tarian.

Okay, enough about food.

All the paper on this card is from the Pebble Homemade collection.

All the stamps:  Paper Smooches

I manage to incorporate BOTH the sketch and the color challenge!

Today a bunch of lovely ladies are coming over to CRAFT!  Hopefully we'll remember to take pictures this time!

Special Birthday

Playing with some new goodies:

I'm using a couple of my new Reverse Confetti purchases, the sentiment is from the So Very Special set and the scallop is from the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts set.  The circle is from Spellbinders.

All that glorious patterned paper {excluding the graph paper which is vintage A Muse} is from Fancy Pants Designs, Everyday Circus!

The peachy paper is Stampin' Up's Crisp Cantaloupe.

See that yarn...I bought 3 different colors from M's...it's Martha and it is wool...LOVE the added texture it gives this very special Birthday card.

This is going to my {ex} Mother-in-law.  I'm so lucky to have such a great relationship with her...she's a special lady.

I was inspired by Reverse Confetti's

My colors were inspired by

Isn't that a fabulous combo of colors?

So the Crisp Cantaloupe is just the 'tip of the iceberg' of my recent Stampin' Up purchases!  It's odd to be buying from the 'Mother Ship'.  Stampin' Up was what got me into this crazy hobby.

hey, so happy for you

I'm always a happy crafter when I dig into new goodies:

I'll admit, the Doin the Wave Confetti Cut looks like bacon, eh?  It was perfect for my card....this is going to my girl that has a bunch of goodness coming up in her life.

The sentiment and cardstock are from the June Simon Says Stamp card kit {Love it!}.

I was inspired by the current

Here's another card that came out of the June SSS card kit:

cardstock:  SSS Lagoon mono, misc ivory  stamps:  SSS Favorite Flowers  ink:  Fresh Ink Red Currant/Grass/Black Tea, Memento Tuxedo, copic YG03  other:  martha stewart washi, neat & tangled gold sequins, avery elle hello die

The solid blob stamp looked like a strawberry to me...it even had the seeds.  I fussy cut a loopy bloom for the hull.

I used some of Neat & Tangled's

I've really enjoyed CASE'ing Wida!

You may have seen these cards that posted over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog but I wanted to make sure they made it over to my blog:

THIS pin inspired my first card.

I super love my 2nd card and will tuck it somewhere in the hangar for Darin to find:

I'm a big napster...I generally get 5 hours of sleep and need the extra cat naps!  My 2nd card was inspired by THIS pin.

The Monogram Alpha should be a staple in every stampers inventory.  Such an awesome font!

I've really enjoyed my 3 months over at the Sweet Stamp Shop!  I feel so fortunate that I had the opportunity to be part of that awesome family.  I learned so much during my time there and have been so inspired by my Design Teamies and Nicole!

Little Tangles #23: Believer.

Post 2 of 2 for me today...see my special announcement HERE.

Hello and Welcome to the new Little Tangles Challenge #23:

Awesome sketch by my FAB teamie, June!

Here's how I was inspired:

I have some other ideas brewing for my card for next week but the details on the right side of the sketch screamed washi tape to me....

I used

and

The red berries were made with a twinklette pen.

Make sure you check out the Little Tangles blog for more inspiration!

You'll love what my teamies have designed!

❅❅ Merry Monday: 'tis the season ❅❅

Happy Monday!

The month is quickly racing by, don't you think?

We're up to Merry Monday #59!

Check out the sketch:

Ovals challenge me.  I was set to go 'old school' and use my Coluzzle since I have the oval template.  Um, where is my Coluzzle knife...gah, not good because I lost the cap a long time ago.  I'm still on the hunt for that thing but in the meantime Spellbinders to the rescue!

The patterned paper is Martha (thanks Cali Ivy!).  Can you see the 'merry' in the middle of the red ornament?  For the smaller ornament I used a dictionary page, yes, I tried to include as much of the merry definition as I could.

I tried to capture a shot of the card so you could see the frosted acetate base.  I love the look but it is a pill to photog.

I am building quite the collection of wood veneers so I'm trying to use them on a regular basis.  This one happens to have a SRM sticker on it.

Make sure you check out the talented ladies over at Merry Monday:

A big shout out to Lesley and the Merry Monday Design Team for having me this month!  I truly enjoyed myself!

Thanks for stoppin' by!

just because...

Hello!

Have you played along with

I was inspired by this picture

This card posted over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog earlier this week:

There's something about polkas that make me happy....

The 'just because' sentiment was perfect for the wooden embellie.  I wrapped it with scor-tape and than glitzed it up with Martha glitter!

This is a truly must-have sentiment set

This is post 2 of 2 for me...click HERE for my Jane's Doodles post.

I'm poppin' in here real quick with a last minute project...

I had the kids' valentine's candy purchased along with itunes...nothing says Happy Valentine's Day to a teenager like itunes....but for some reason didn't think about their card!

So I literally slammed these together this morning...luckily I wake up at 3 am....

The Sweet Stamp Shop's

along with

(race over to the store for this one...it's on sale!!!)

...made it super easy to make this mini card

The hearts are washi covered cardstock that I die cut with Sweet 'n Sassy heart dies.

....I topped it off with Studio Calico Wood Veneer and of course, SRM stickers!

Squeeze-A-Palooza: Valentine's Day

Hey There!

Today I have a couple of things:

I used the Fresh Squeezed Stamps

I also topped it off with Timeless Twine's

Perfect for today's new

I used this photo as my inspiration...there are a couple to pick from AND there's a digi freebie...make sure you pop over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog!

This is also for the

Anything But a Card Challenges

Pop over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for all the deets about Squeeze-A-Palooza!

This posted yesterday over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog!

I was inspired by the current CASE study:

Although it doesn't look like it, this card was labor intensive with a ton of masking....I even masked the straws!  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a lazy stamper so masking is a big deal for me:)

I used

The sentiment is from

I colored in the straw with copics and I backed the sentiment with my fav glitter cardstock from American Crafts!

Have a soda-rific day!!!
