A Blog Named Hero: Dear Santa

It's that time of year again when the gals over at

put together their holiday extravaganza!

I'm thrilled that they've asked me to play along!

This week the focus is on:

Week 1 (November 4-8): Cards (sets or singular)

I managed to combine a total of 6 stamp sets on my project, check it out, it all started here...

Yup, I'm smitten with the envelope card.  Take an envelope and slice it in half:

I originally started with white envelopes and swapped them out for kraft.  With the interior card being white, the contrast is much more appealing.

Jars & Owls

What else were you expecting?!

I did them assembly line method which for a quantity of 4 is definitely manageable, especially with the copic coloring on the owl.

I wanted to use Neat & Tangled's Ink Splash on the envelope, stamped in white is to give it the appearance of a splattered snowball :)

See the notch on the envelope?  I used my WPlus9 smallest circle die.

Don't you love the font on the Neat & Tangled Special Delivery sentiment from the Santa's Tags set?

Here are all the cards rounded up...do you know how difficult it is to take a pic of multiple cards?

The owl is one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets, Winter Owl and the jar is from Summertime Charm.

It's really hard to capture those snowflakes...they are from the Neat & Tangled Merry & Bright set:

They've been inked up with Delicata GoldenGlitz.

I even inked up the interior of the cards:

I used Neat & Tangled's Simple Christmas set:

The berries were made with a Twinklette pen...chock full of glitter!

A big shout out to the ladies of A Blog Named Hero!  Thanks so much for inviting me to the party AND for helping me to add to my holiday card stash!

Ok don't be mad but when I saw the splatter I thought how brilliant the owl pooped on the envie as a "special delivery" to make a silly. . And laughed I love it. Then I read your post that it was a splattered snowball.... Wow How people interpret things differently. I totally love this. Lenae
