Happy Mother's Day | Divinity Designs

My friends at Divinity Designs asked me to be a guest designer and sent me a bunch of goodies.  Today I'm featuring one of their sets from the newest release, My World.

This is such a pretty set and perfect for Mother's Day which is around the corner.  Here's how I was inspired:

Let's chat about the clean + simple design.  I really wanted that Leo Buscaglia quote to be the star of the show.  So I stamped it on my white base panel in black ink.  I then cut a top panel that was a bit smaller and used the Pierced Ovals to cut the opening.  I stamped the larger floral image on each side of the opening and colored them with alcohol markers.

If you're not familiar with Divinity Designs, their stamps are foam mounted.  These stamp FABULOUS.  Now onto my second card:

I wanted to showcase the sweet Baby Girl Paper Pad.  I love the soft color palette!  I stamped out some of the roses and colored them with alcohol markers and set them aside.  I layered two panels of the pattern paper onto my card base and stamped out the Happy Mother's Day sentiment on the same color strip as my base panel.  I cut the gingham pattern into a square and folded it to look like a floral wrap and finished it off with kraft twine.  I arranged the roses to look like a floral bouquet.  This card will be going to my Momma for Mother's Day with a bouquet of flowers.

I'll be back next Wednesday with another set of cards featuring a different Divinity Designs stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
