thanks snow much...

Hello!

Well, we were hit by snow flurry yesterday which led to my 3 hour, yes 3 hour long trip home....ugh....it was totally one of those white knuckled drives...so glad that I made it home, safe & sound.

Okie Dokie...today is the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge!

Have you been enjoying Shannan's sketches as much as I have been?!!!

Check out this week's:

I'm giving you a sneaky peek of a new upcoming Skipping Stones Design set...

The yellow pom trim is from the Christopher Pines Etsy shop...they were our sponsor last week...more on them in a smidge.

Dontcha just love those snowflakes?  Here's an upclose shot:

The snowflakes have been embossed with American Crafts Grapefruit Zing!  All the patterned paper is from Torendi!  It is the Sassafras Count me in Wee Bundle...see the bloom?  It's a Sassafras Stitched Blossom. I stitched up all the panels and distressed it with Memento Rich Cocoa.

I decided to sling out a tag....the sweet bird and sentiment is from the Skipping Stones Design Sassy Snow set.

The snowflakes are Stampin' up, the buttons from PTI, pearls are Kaiser and of course the patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather for my 'ole November Project-a-Day!

The color inspiration is from Cupcake's Creations Color Challenge:

I came across the color challenge via Mona's guest designer, Pauline who recently linked up to Flashback Friday 5.0!  Such a fun color challenge...thanks Mona and Pauline!

Blog Candy Winner!!!

Well, last Tuesday's post had some blog candy...the Skipping Stones Design Team had been treated to some goodies by the Christopher Pines Etsy Shop!

So I used random.org and the winner is:

Oh I love the card Amy and the tag is too cute.
3 hours in the car with snow ~ I probably would have had to stop for a few potty breaks. Here in Minnesota during a winter blizzard it took me two hours to get home when my normal commute was 25 minutes.

Love those pink snowflakes and you've reminded me how beautiful stamps look over patterned paper! Glad you made it home alright.
I am loving everything!! Being from Canada, I can understand the snow and commuting to and from work. We got almost 25 cm last week in 24 hours. Good thing for snow tires!!

Take care,
Deanne :)
