I decided to do an altered project today.  I received a small oval paper mache box with a gift a couple years ago.  I've saved it with the intention of decorating it and thought that the sweet birds from the Happy Fall set would be perfect!

The birds are paper pieced with Jenni Bowlin and the other patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird Collection.


To make my altered box 'snappy' I used button top wood plugs for the feet.  I'm going to stash some chocolates in it for when I need the extra mojo when crafting:)
