today is a new day...

One of those days....I had a ton of plans that eventually were squashed when I went out to my car that had a dead battery...sigh...gotta love AAA. That's okay, I managed to squeak out a card {and take a nap!}...

I'm still playing with my new goodies...check out one of my newest Hero Arts/Studio Calico sets, My Happy.  See that doily?  It's upcycled from Prima packaging...it's heavy transparency....just did some fussy cutting.  The cameo is ala Hambly.  I love the sentiment...don't you?

I was inspired by several challenges...first up:

The gold that I translated to yellow...the silhouette....the text.

BWS tips button

the pattern in the dress...the pops of yellow and green...the coiffed hair {is that a bump it?}

and finally Case Study 71

I love CASE Study

I cased the overall design...

I need to post this before the RIC linky expires...off to dinner with the girls...gotta love getting together for birthdays!

OHHH! That is a GORGEOUS card--and I thought that doily looked like acetate or transparency!! Great job on recycling!!! LOOOOVE that you were inspired by three challenges--you nailed them!!

So sorry to hear about your car battery--however, HOOOOORAY for making this card and taking a nap:)

Car issues are never fun, but I'd say creative time + a nap should outweigh the car! :> Wishing the absolute best in 2012, Amy!!

Sounds like a perfect day to me: make a card & take a nap! Who needs a car anyway:) I just love your silhouette image on top of that doily. Really cute, Amy!

beautiful card! Sorry to hear about the battery, hate when that happens and it is always when you have plans to take care of things.
