happy birthday kimberly!!

I consider myself a lucky girl.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to make some great in-real-life crafty friends.  One of them is Kimberly.  I can't remember how I stumbled onto Kimberly's blog but the minute I did, I was absolutely smitten with her style & work.  Today is Kimberly's birthday and there is a group of us that are doing a birthday blog hop for her!

Amy  <-- you're here!
Kimberly <-- birthday girl!

Just a handful of girls from our Crafty Group that tries to get together on a monthly basis.  I score because everyone comes to my house {I absolutely STINK at packing for crafty gatherings!} and Kimberly always steps up to the plate with awesome Make 'n Takes.  It's a regular party...lots of laughing, stories, crafting and eating!

I've been out of town so I wanted to share this card that I haven't posted to my blog!  It's part of the Reverse Confetti Newsletter {sign up here for news, special features and sales!}.

I was inspired by this print:

Aqua + Orange = Yes, Please!

Kimberly has a way of combine color and images...more on that in a smidge.

Reverse Confetti Fresh 'n Fruity stamps/confetti cuts, Petals 'n Posies Confetti Cuts, Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts

I used Reverse Confetti's Fresh 'n Fruity stamps/confetti cuts, Petals 'n Posies Confetti Cuts, Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts!

I threw in texture {craft foam, felt and enamel dots!}.

Here are some of my FAV's from Kimberly:

I hope that you hop along with us!

coffee & a whole lot of love.

Hello and Happy Monday!

I'm sharing some A Jillian Vance Design projects that posted in March.

My first card uses the

Coffee & Jesus stamp set

which I combined with the

True Love stamp set

I love the addition of the chunky wool makes the card 'cozy', dontcha think?

My next card uses the same Coffee & Jesus set, which I combined with the Love Word Die.

I love to combine kraft & green!  Adding the doily makes it such a feminine card!

You really should check out the A Jillian Vance Design Blog & Store!  So much fun inspiration and goodies!

eat cake & more.

Hello and Happy Saturday!

I haven't posted my Chickaniddy Crafts cards over here in awhile so I'm doing a bit of catch up!

The first 2 cards are March projects.

This one was to focus on the chevron trend:

It made things super fun (& easy) to use the Reverse Confetti Triple Chevies Confetti Cuts!  The butterfly is PTI and all the paper is from the Twirly Girly Collection!

Next up is a Color Trend card:

navy ● mint ● coral ● pink

Personally, I think the addition of any type of fruit image makes any card fresh & fun!

My final card focuses on flowers!

Being a card maker, I generally gravitate to the 6x6 paper pads.  That doesn't stop me from loving {hoarding} 12x12 paper!  I fussy cut blooms from Date Night/Awesome Blossom.

To add some texture, I used modeling paste on a portion of the card so it didn't overwhelm the design.  Do you see the semi-circles I punched out on the sides?  It's a great way to anchor twine!

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Fusion Card Challenge: oh happy day!

Hello and welcome to Fusion Card Challenge!

Check out the fun new inspiration photo and sketch:

I was inspired by the photo:

cardstock:  strathmore watercolor paper  stamps:  essentials by ellen/bold blooms  ink:  ranger/archival/black  other:  queen & co stars, stampin' up label thinlets

I've been inspired by all the watercolor stripes I have been spotting out in bloggie land and had to give it a try!  I love the look...I just used my cheap watercolor tray from M's.

I finally inked up my Bold Blooms set...isn't that sentiment...well, so happy?!

need to venti?

I'm trying to spread the latte love around in my craft room.  I have a couple of coffee sets and I'm trying to make the rounds with them.

This is with the MFT:

Dienamics Coffee
Perk Up stamp set
Steel Grey card stock

Yup, I upcycled a Starbucks Sleeve!

Do you recognize the paper I used on the card?  Well, it's because of my recent organizing:

This is where I sit at my crafting desk:

This is to the left of where I sit:

My washi collection:

Aha...lots of PL cards, so the paper I used is from various PL cards.  I've been hoarding them, I might as well use them!

Today, I spend some time with my new Walking Buddie:  Laura Norris

Bonus that it's suppose to be really nice for the next couple of days!

the power of two...

♡two lattes♡

cardstock:  stampin' up blushing bride/rose red, papertrey ink vellum  stamps:  stampin' up yippee skippee  ink:  gold embossing powder  other:  stampin' up hearts mask, create a smila/coffee to go chippies, reverse confetti/tag me confetti cut, modeling paste, pebbles gold scallop tape

I need to use my Stampin' up Goodies more and decided to combine the Yippee Skippee set with the coffee chippies from Create a Smile!

The sentiment has been heat embossed in gold to bring out the Pebbles scallop tape {love that set and I might have 3 rolls of it}.

My Stampin' Up demo is Tonya.

I added some texture by using modeling paste with the Hearts mask {it comes with a star mask too!}.

I used the Tag Me Confetti Cut.

Neat & Tangled collaboration with The Cut Shoppe

post one of two for HERE for the Curtain Call Challenge.

It's an exciting week....Neat & Tangled is collaborating with The Cut Shoppe!

What?  You didn't know that I had a Cameo?! has collected quite a bit of dust and the wonderful Ashley Horton of The Cut Shoppe totally held my hand a lot.  I generally talk to my Cameo...and when I type talk, I mean I call it names....but, Ashley was what changed things around and I actually IM'd her:

Bonus points for doing a layout:

Perfect time to scrap one of the pictures from our recent trip to Japan!

I combined

Next up is a card:

Oh yes, I love my Cameo now♡
