Happy New Year!!!!

Here's to 2011!!!!

2010 was such a GREAT year for me...I got engaged....I went to Winter CHA 2010....I was published TWICE in Paper Crafts Magazine plus so much more!  I'm truly thankful for the life that I have and look forward to what 2011 brings...

This is a ginormously long post so get ready:)

I wanted to start off the New Year with the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, Strictly Stripes:

I was inspired by the:

the colors
the stripes...

I decided to zig zag inbetween the various stripes of Stampin' Up cardstock...I picked zig zagging to kind of emulate the knitting...the sentiment is ala SRM...The card is 3.5 x 3.5 inches...

I went through my 2010 blog posts and picked out my favs for each month and thought that I'd share them with you...

Oooohhhhh Aimes.....this one is for you!

Seriously, you HAD to know that there would be at least ONE card with Cosmo Cricket goodness on it...

I think this card meant more to me because I finally dehoarded that wonderful Melissa Frances frame...I'm working hard to dehoard ladies...

I made this for a good friend of mine who is a quilter....this is probably one of my most heavily stitched cards...

For those that know me...I'm a coffee-a-holic and had to include a coffee themed fitting that it uses images from 2 Seattle based stamp companies...A Muse and DeNami Designs!

In June 2010 I started to scrapbook again....this one is of my lovely girl {pic taken and altered by my boy}

I actually picked 2 for June...this is my first layout that I did in 2010....

My Boy!

Of course I needed a layout of me and the man...I saw this quote on Design Crush and knew that it was perfect:

"And then my soul saw you and it kind of went "Oh, there you are. I've been looking for you."

Another Cosmo Goodness card....AND another Seattle based Stamp Designer...Sparkle Creations!  I picked this card for it's use of multi-patterns and paper piecing...2 things that I adore:)

Ahhhh yes....another layout...this is based on what I'm thankful for...

"I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance."
~Maya Angelou~

This tall card was probably one of my more labor intensive endeavors...I hand pleated the skirt and sewed each layer...I love the look and the colors...come on, you gotta love the quote!

November: them...and I also love to use non-traditional colors...this went to a bloggie friend, Jen, who recently had a baby boy:)

This is probably my most favorite Christmas

Thank YOU for all your support in 2010...I truly appreciate it and YOU!

What's your "one little word" for 2011?

Have you picked one?  Are you signed up for Ali's class?  I took the leap...I'm excited to start a project for's going to be a GREAT year...I can feel it....I'll be making a fun announcement next week {can't wait!!} but back to the "one little word"'s mine:

Part of Speech: verb
Definition: delight in, enjoy

hello cupcake!

Happy Friday & Happy New Years Eve!!!!

This is chock full of goodness...Hambly....and Janes Doodles!!!

The frosting on the cupcake is actually the 'backside' of the hambly cupcake paper:)  I topped that sweet cupcake with a SEI button and some Kaiser bling!   Everything is nestled onto a Hambly overlay..The SU Basic Gray seems to make the pinks pop:)

I am sooo inspired by Mona's color challenges!

Such a PRETTY Color it...thanks for the inspiration Mona!!!

Happy New Years Eve peeps...see you tomorrow with my best of 2010:)

you're snow wonderful...

It's Tuesday which means the Skipping Stones Design Sketch's been wonderful having Maile Belles as our Guest Sketch Artist for December!!!  This sketch is super fun...I did my own little spin on it...

Here's my fun monochromatic card with POW:)

I managed to use some older MME Christmas paper, Colorful Christmas...the ink is Color Box Chalk/Pink Pastel.  Do see that I used 2 different Skipping Stones Design sets?

The snowflakes are from Brrrrthday:

I popped a pearl in the center of each snowflake...

The sentiment is from Sassy Snow:

Did you notice the fun zig zag stitching on the sentiment panel?

I love that both sets can easily take you through the winter and beyond...not just for the holidays!

There is more to life...

Hello and Happy Monday!

Well, it's back to work for me today...I had all last week off...**sigh**

Monday means the fabbie E.A.D Designs Blog Hop!
{officially starts at 10 am EST}

You should have hopped here from the E.A.D Designs blog, if not, you'll want to start from there so that you don't miss anything good!!!!

I have a bunch of schtuff to show you today....I  challenged myself to put together a card set based around the Tea Time Stickerz Set.  This is one of the many beauties of the Stickerz can literally put together a set of cards and still have leftover stickerz to play with!  I managed to use  Basic Grey Curio for all the cards...okay, here we go:

This card is a standard A2 size, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2:

There is more to life
than increasing its speed

You gotta love that quote....

cardstock:  stampin' up chocolate chip paper:  basic grey curio stamps:  pti ink:  memento rich cocoa other:  ead designs tea time stickerz, twinery twine, pti button, stampin' up eyelet border punch

I was inspired by the new-to-me sketch challenge 4 Crafty Chicks:

Next up is a set of 4 cards that are all 4x4...I managed to combine the Tea Time Stickerz with different elements from the Basic Grey Curio line...

This particular card incorporates a fab doily from my bloggie friend, Brenda Weaver...isn't it intricate and gorgeous?!  Thanks Brenda!!!

Gotta love the Curio Pieces...The Tea Time Stickerz are pure perfection with them...

Here's the 2nd card in the set...

and go slowly
Thich Nhat Hanh

The butterfly panel is from the Curio Pieces line...perfect for that sentiment...which is partially on the piece and partially the card a smidge of visual interest...

Okay, this is when you all will really realize how perfect the Tea Time Stickerz is for the Basic Grey Curio Pieces....check it out:

Now how stinkin' PERFECT is that?!!!!!!

I topped off the tag with some pearls and vanilla seam binding ribbon....

Here's the final card of the series...

Here's a close up of the very magnificent quote from yes, the Tea Time Stickerz set:

I am not afraid of storms,
for I am learning how to sail my ship.
Louisa May Alcott

LOVE that empowering statement....definitely a more scrappy type card design...I teamed up the quote with a silhouette epoxy sticker and bloom.  Did you notice the sassy red stitching?

I had so much fun putting this particular Tea set together...thanks so much for hopping by but before you hop over to Stephanie' gotta take a peek at thee brand new Stickerz:

I don't know about you but I'm certainly READY to jump into Valentine's Day cards....wooooo hooooooo!!!!  Which is your favorite???!!!!

A ginormous woot wootie woot woot for our December Guest Designer.....Andrea of My Stamping Heaven...loved having you this month!!!!

Okay, off to Stephanie's place {Dream, Create, Inspire}
