Hello and Happy Saturday!

Any fun Halloween weekend plans?  We have soccer games today AND tomorrow...I'm just hoping for dry weather:)

I have a tag to share this morning...sorry for the photog....this little whipper snapper just would NOT cooperate!

It seems that yesterday AND today it has been Wplus9 day on my blog:)

Today's tag uses Woodgrain Silhouettes....I LOVE the flowers in that set...I used Memento Angel Pink on it...such a soft & soothing color...

I was inspired by the Wplus9 Color Cue challenge...
You probably can't tell but my thread that I used is a pale gray...did you see the whimsical zig zagging:)

The quote is my screensaver at work...isn't it true though?  The joys and difficulties in life prepare you for other events in your life...makes you stronger and more thankful for what you have...that's how I feel now...I'm so grateful for my life...for the people that are part of it...

happy {fri}day...

This is my Friday post being posted live on Thursday...more deets on that in a card:

The Wplus9 Mehndi Medallions, is such a pretty it...I used Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, Memento Rich Cocoa & Cottage Ivy ink.  The 'happy day' is a vintage Stampin' Up rub on...

This is my first time playing over at OTWC:

The colors are gorgeous...I'm a huge fan of chocolate with anything:)  Looks like the deadline is in about an hour so I get to post this now!

I was also inspired by the sketch over at Limelight Papercrafts:

The Limelight challenge is Fall/Halloween Colors....I went with the Fall colors!

Okay peeps, happy 'early' friday!  I'll be back Saturday morning!

did you know...

I have a whimsical card for you today...I used Basic Grey Jovial...

The 'did you know' panel is a flap that is anchored by the strip on the left...which has been zig zagged stitched down onto the red panel...

This is what it looks like underneath that top panel...

Psssttt....this will be going to the man:)

I was inspired by this fun sketch by Laura over at 2s4y...sketch 64:

Just a reminder!

Is it almost the weekend?

Okay, okay....we're half-way through...that's better than just starting the work week, right?  Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for my funds my paper addiction:)

I've got a Sassy one to share with you today:)

In my true ~amy~ style, this happy card has 4 different patterns:)  Torendi makes it easy because they have the Sassafras Count me In Wee Bundle!  I even picked up the Sassy In a Stitch Blossoms at Torendi too!

The 'Hello' is from the E.A.D Designs Sentiments Vinyl Rub-ons set!

I was inspired by this week's CPS190:

This card has already gone postal for a crafty friend of mine...she isn't necessarily paper crafty...she dabbles in everything else:  jewelry, soap making, lighting, name you think she'll know how special she is by seeing just how many of those Sassy Stitched Blossoms that I smacked on that puppy?  Seriously!

**just a reminder**

Have you had a chance to hop around the Caring Hearts Blog Hop?!  You have until tonight at midnight CST to leave comments on all the participating blogs in order to be eligible for some seriously fabbie prizes...whaddya waiting for?

together we can...

Hello Hello!

Today is Tuesday which means it is the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge!

We want to thank Karen Giron who is our October Guest Sketch Artist...her Sketch Challenges have been soooo fun and inspiring!

Check out this week's sketch!

I used Skipping Stones Design's Grunge and Cancer Schmancer for my card today!  Just a reminder that through Friday, for every Cancer Schmancer set that is sold, Skipping Stones Design's will donate $4 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation...Come on peeps...together we can make a difference...which brings me to today's card:

Yes, you're at my blog...not my typical color combo...subtle and soft...but I think it makes the butterfly and the sentiment really take the stage, whaddya think?

All the patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Wanted...the kraft/button is ala PTI...the ribbon is from my fab friend Sherry {she sells the gorgeous stuff too!!}...I grunged it up with my Memento Rich Cocoa pad...

Check out my double-decker butterfly...can you tell that it has been stamped on thee prettiest shade of blue paper from the Wanted pad?

You probably didn't even notice but there isn't a smidge of stitching on this puppy...shocking, right?!  Well, when I was putting this card together there was a horrible windstorm pounding my windows and the power was sketchy...I didn't know if the power was going to go out on me so I didn't take the chance of using my trusty Janome:)

**Be sure to check out the Paper Crafts Facebook page for a Skipping Stones Design Give-a-Way!!**

I hope that you'll join us in the Skipping Stones Design Sketch Challenge!

{it officially starts at 10 am EST}

You should have hopped over here from Jenn's blog:

{btw, don't forget about the ginormous Tria Marker give-a-way {x5!}...}

I had a BALL putting this vintage card together!  The dressform is from the E.A.D Designs Vintage Rub-Ons set...seriously, you gotta try out the E.A.D Designs Rub-Ons...they are thee best...easy...thick and opaque!

I kept adding tons of stuff to this card and really like how it turned out.  Can you read the quote?

A girl should be two things:

Classy & Fabulous

Coco Chanel

I'm also linking up to the Moxie Fab World Challenge:

Whew, those pleats...I pleated, pierced and then hand stitched each 'tier'...funny how an idea can become so incredibly labor intensive:)

The paper is MME's Haunted line...the harlequin pattern is flocked...ooohhhh...gotta love that!  Isn't the ZVA bling simply spectacular?!!!  Perfect for Paige's latest challenge over on the Cards blog...BLING!  This is also my 'whimsical' take on Card Patterns 87.

A ginormous woot woot to our fabbie October Guest Designer...Julie Tucker-Wolek...thanks girl for a fab month!!!!

Your next hop is over to the superb Stephanie's:

merry and bright...

Happy 365 Cards Super Sketchy Sunday!!!

This week our sponsor is:

Here's the fabbie sketch for today:

I had the opportunity to play with the Sweet 'N Sassy Holly Wreath image:

The wreath is a gorgeous detailed image that has so many possibilities!  All the patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather.  The 'merry & bright' sentiment is from E.A.D Designs Merry & Bright Stickerz.  I used Stampin' Up markers {old olive/real red} instead of my copics because I love the small tip that the SU markers have... I also used 2 different white gel pens, Inkssentials & Signo....I hit the berries with Stampin' Up Crystal Effects and a majority of the white twigs with Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds glitter.

I purposely didn't color the holly leaves with an opaque color...I think it gives it more of an aged look with the whimsical coloring:)

I hope that you'll join us in today's sketch challenge...make sure that you pop over to the 365 Cards blog to see what the other gals on the Sunday Sketch Crew created!

♥♥Happy Mail♥♥

Look at this WONDERFUL Alice-in-Wonderland card that Stephanie sent to me:

It is truly a stunner...the colors and images are fabulously vibrant and whimsical!

Next up is  a super fun card from Tina!

The interior says:

A journey of 1000
miles begins with a whole

Okay, now how fun is that?  I immediately emailed Tina and found out that it is a Paper Makeup set called Caffeine Trip...uh yeah, it should be arriving soon...I 'had' to order it...

Next is a lovely card from Karen Baker:

Such a fabbie color it!  I also received all of these goodies:

I already used the red/white baker's twine on my card from yesterday...the blooms are fabric and the other string is vintage wool...woot woot...

Here's my card that I made especially for the Caring Hearts Blog Hop!

I inked up my new Hero Arts Music Background image that I picked up in Oregon last week {can you say TAX FREE?!}.  The green paper is from the new Making Memories Noel is that fabbie "O Christmas Tree" Glittery diecut...The base is by GMund which is loaded with texture...that's why I decided to ink it up with my Memento Rich Cocoa to bring that out...the bakers twine is from the oh-so-generous Karen Baker:)  My card is inspired by Card Patterns 86 {ugh, missed the deadline but it is a fabbie sketch!} and by the City Crafters Challenge 27 to create a card with a vintage feel.

Are you ready for my card????  It is back from 2007 peeps...November 23, 2007....boooo comments:(

I'd say one of the most noticable changes is yet again, my photography...I prefer stark white these days but typically with Fabriano card bases like this card has, I pop some patterned paper behind it to make the card stand out....other than the base, it is pure Stampin' fitting since it is Stampin' Up week over at 365 cards!  Definitely a classic CAS card!

Just a reminder that if you play along you'll need to repost your first Christmas card onto your blog...that's the fun of the Flashback Friday challenges...please do not just link to your original post:)

Flashback Friday 4.0 is open until November 12th @ 11:59 pm PST!!
