We're celebrating a long weekend here in the states!
Here's a quick card that I made:
I bought a couple PTI sets from Lynn and actually used them!! LOL...I know that I'm probably not the only one that buys stuff and then, well, doesn't use the stuff. I just love acorns...so I love the Autumn Acorns set! The other set is Happy Day...they look good together, eh?
I love using that sweet beachy keen girl....I paper pieced and copic'd her up.
The patterned paper is Basic Grey's Paper Cottage and of course I used, Caribbean from The Twinery. I also used my latest die that I picked up from Impress, the Tall Canning Jar by Memory Box!
You may enter as often as you like, but we must be able to see the sketch in there somewhere. You are free to flip it or turn it as you like!
You do NOT have to use TCM stamps to enter the challenge. However, if you are the winner and you have used TCM stamps on your entry, you will not only receive a TCM stamp set of choice as your prize, but also a coupon for 15% off one additional stamp set of choice which can be used one time within 30 days!!!
You have until August 31st @ 9:00 pm pacific to link up!
Up until this year...it seemed like my go-to card base was kraft....this year I've been smitten by white card bases {thanks sherry}, so this was a true challenge for me..
I haven't played along over at Hero Arts so I thought this month's challenge was perfect for my card:
If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the EAD Designs blog. Every week there is a freebie to one lucky commenter. All you have to do is leave a comment while you hop!
I have been really enjoying the new dies that I picked up from Impress...they are by Savvy and memory box...yet another local company. My card is CAS but the Space Needle die gives it some life, dontcha think?! I carefully trimmed down a glue dot to strategically add to the back of the needle to give it some umph. I own well over 100+ A Muse wood mounted sentiments...I LOVE them....but this Seattle one is definitely one of my FAVs. Here's how I store them:
I actually have 3 of those printer trays...LOVE them...I think I picked them up from a garage sale that Jennifer Pebbleshad a long time ago.
Chattin' about Summertime... Did you see the latest Paper Issues Challenge? Summer Lovin'
