Happy Leap Day!  Make sure you check out the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog for today's Sponsor Solo feature!

This week Melissa is featuring:

Here's how I was inspired:

I knew I was going to use the Cup of Wishes set.  I combined it with Charmed.  One of my favorite die sets is the Basic Set - Creative Cuts.

My owl was totally inspired by Pamela Ho.  I wanted to use the ColourQ challenge but couldn't figure out what to color that sweet owl.  I changed her up a bit by using grey for the body rather than browns.

SugarPea Designs Guest Designer: espresso

Hello and Happy Leap Day!  Today wraps up my month as a Guest Designer for SugarPea Designs!  I've had so much fun designing with their awesome products.  Let's get to my card, shall we?  I went bold + graphic today:

Orange, I love that color.  I generally gravitate to green but orange is definitely 1st runner up in my book.  All the pattern paper is from Pebble's Everyday collection, isn't it fun?!  I used the SugarCuts Zig Zag Rectangle + Zig Zag Circle dies.  The espresso, from the SugarCuts - Coffee Words has been cut in solid black which POPS...I love how the gold circle adds to the drama.

I decided to keep the Coffee To Go Cup white and layer it up!

Espresso solves everything.

Love the Caffeine Addict stamp set!

So many fun products!  Click on a photo and it'll jump to the store!

Hero Arts: Thinking of You

Hello and Happy Sunday!

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card.  I've been loving the Midnight paper collection by Hero Arts so I started with that as my base.  Have you seen the new Celebrate Tag Stamp & Cut by Lia?

It really is a multi-purpose tag.  Loss is a horrible thing and you want people to know that you're thinking of them.  I cut the tag and then heat embossed the sentiment in white.  I did a bit of watercoloring and then laid the tag right on top and finished it off with coordinating ribbon.  Super clean + simple.  We wanted our friends to know that we're been thinking of them as they go through this sad time in their lives.

I was going to draw for my winner for the Caring for the Cox Family blog hop:

Then I realized that I need to wait for the mail delivery in case some other people sent over cards for me to forward to the Cox Family.  I'll post the winner on Tuesday!  We've been gone for the last week.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Hawaii on the Big Island:

I'll be happily catching up on DT work today.  I don't usually go 7 days without being crafty.

Jessica's 2K Followers Instagram Hop and Giveaway!!

If you follow me on IG, you may have already seen this but you definitely don't want to miss out on all the fun!

Super thrilled that Jessica asked me to join in on the fun!  Check out this gorgeous color palette we could work with when designing a card for the IG hop:

Although the wool yarn photo'd a bit darker, I did try to stay within the same color scheme:

The sentiment is from the newest Essentials by Ellen release, Up the Happy.  I stamped it on a Whisker Graphic's tag.  The paper and the sticker die cut are from the My Minds Eye On Trend 2 collection.

Make sure you visit Jessica's blog for all the deets....there are awesome prizes and a color challenge!

Lil' Inker Designs

I combined the Coffee Talk stamp set with the Pointelle Cover up Die and the Stitched Envelope Liner Die.

It seems to be tropical days over here on my blog lately...lots of pineapples!  I had so much fun combining all these fun products!  Isn't the Pointelle Cover Up Die so fabulous?  The Coffee Talk set is awesome, so many coffee drinks to design.  Today's is a Copacabana Frap!  I had to put some sequin center sprinkles on top!  Check out the enveloper liner and how it matches the interior of my card!

SugarPea Designs Guest Designer: Coffee

Hello!  I'm back as a Guest Designer over at the SugarPea Designs blog!  If you've been following me for a bit, you know I love my coffee.  I always love to fall back on Coffee Card designs....add pineapples and I'm a happy crafter:

A timesaving tip?  I've been buying A2 card bases....sssssshhhhhh...I know, lazy eh?  I don't craft daily.  On the days that I work, I'm too exhausted to craft in the evening so I make the most of the days that I don't work.  Another timesaving tip?  The largest SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle is PERFECT for an A2 card front.

I used the My Minds Eye On Trend 2 paper collection.  The SugarCuts did all the work for me!  Check out how the sentiment, from the Caffeine Addict set,  fit perfectly on the Stitched Flag!

So many fun products (click on photo to jump to the shop!):
