A ginormous Happy Birthday to my Momma:)

For those that have been following me a while may remember Mom, for some reason, hates being called Momma...odd because I love it when my kidlets call ME that....anywho's, luckily she isn't a regular visitor of my blog {watch her pop in today...of course!}...

I whipped this together for her giftie...

I bought a bunch of these kraft bags for my 'big business plans' that have really kind of fizzled out...the craft show business isn't too lucrative for card makers...

In that bag are several Starbucks Gift Cards...I manage to keep her supplied through the various occasions...although I guess she has to replenish her stash in the summer since it is along time in between Mother's Day and Christmas, oh yes, Grandparents Day:)  She is a daily customer of Starbucks with her "drip coffee" order...brings her own mug and saves like $0.03 a cup?  So I threw in a new Starbucks mug too:)

I was inspired by Tiff's sketch:

I'm a first timer at the Lawnscaping Challenges...but I inked up my new Lunar Lights set {LOVE it!}...

Let's see, all the patterned paper is Jillibean...I actually first stamped the Lunar Light image on the backside of the Jillibean polka dot paper...fussy cut it out and then stamped the image again on the polka dot side of the paper...that way the 'krafts' matched, kwim?  The alpha are T $ Spot, I think:) and holy moly, I'm out of my regular white thread for my machine so I used this extra thick stuff and boy oh boy, my machine was NOT diggin' it...felt like I should have been wearing protective eye wear because it was making such a racket...scared the needle was going to 'PING'...luckily it didn't...I love the dramatic look of that bold white thread though...

I'm also linking this to the Moxie Fab World Challenge:

The Paper Piecing Challenge!

My previous entry is a card with heavy paper piecing...I decided to show how paper piecing can make a subtle impact...

Okay, that's it for me today...this week is going to be a FUN one...there is going to be an EAD Designs surprise on watch for it:)

through the window...

Happy Saturday...which means it is a new Card Patterns Sketch!!!

We all hope that you enjoyed the Card Patterns 2nd Anniversary Blog Hop! Thanks to all of you that hopped by my blog and left me such sweet comments on my Hero Arts Three Silhouettes card!  The Blog Hop Winners will be posted on Monday along with the Super Six and Guest Designer!

Check out the fun sketch for this week:

I rotated it and kept it pretty clean and simple:

The card base is PTI kraft...I think all my cards start with that:)  All the patterned paper is from my friend is Webster's goodness {thanks sista!!!}.  I have to admit that I adore Webster's papers BUT I have a heck of a time slicing through it...I tried to keep the image as intact as possible...I managed to use one sheet since it is double sided...I fussy cut the floral design {which is on dimensionals} to add more interest to the window.  I was thinking of adding a sentiment but didn't want to 'disturb' the scenery...

I'm looking forward to seeing how the sketch inspires you!

cruisin' by to say hi!

Happy Friday!!!!

Another busy weekend planned for me...we'll be celebrating my Momma's birthday and I'm hoping to work like crazy on some pub subs:)

Remember on Sunday when I told you that I walked away from a project because of a lack of time?  Well, I managed to incorporate it into a new challenge because the original one that I was working on has since ended.

Introducing Cruising Chloe'ster:

Chloe has been paper pieced with 6 different patterns from the New My Minds Eye Gertie can anyone resist all those fab colors?  Yup, her shoes have even been paper pieced!

I was inspired by CPS206:

This week, Card Positioning Systems is being sponsored by my buddie Sparkle of Sparkle CreationsChloe is my favorite from Sparkle's line of stamps!

I'm a big paper piecer and learned something new this week from Laurel Seabrook who is Yvonne's guest blogger.

Can you guess what it might be?  Well, if you don't know, you'll just have to check out Laurel's challenge:)

Buttons instead of blooms:)  This is my new My Minds Eye stash...the Mabel line...the SRM 'thanks' is on a layered sticker.

It's Wednesday which typically means my Jingle Belles day:)

The gals have teamed up with Sketchy Thursday's and their super sketch for the week:

I had a ton of fun with this sketch and quite frankly the fabbie Stef inspired me with her great card!

I've had that sweet Memory Box snow globe on my work top forever that I had forgotten about it:)  I embossed it with American Crafts Black Zing and then re-stamped the image on the BG paper..cut out the globe part and adhered it to the embossed piece...easy smeasy!   Actually all the patterned paper is Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses...the felt snowflake is Stampin' Up and I blinged it up with a Queen & Co rhinestone. The sentiment is by A Muse.

I had a really fun weekend with the man...we spent a couple days here:

Sorry for the not-so-great pic...I 'may' have been standing on my seat in the double decker/top deck bus that we were was my first time in Vegas and boy, is there a ton to take in...

....we ate a ton...took in a couple shows and had such a fantastic time!

Have a super day!!!

dream everyday of your life...

What do YOU dream about?

Oh boy, do I have a long list of "If I won the lottery...."  The funny thing is...I don't buy lottery tickets:)  BUT, I think it is fun to dream anyways...

This card is a pub reject...although I haven't had much recent luck in the pub subs, it doesn't stop me from trying when I have the time..that is really the thing for me, the time.

I was frantically working on a project for today's post when I just had to step away and say, I can't do it...I don't have the time...that's a huge step for me.  So it sits on my work top and yes, I will finish...but when I'm not feeling so rushed...I hate that feeling and it zaps the fun out of creating for me.

I'm a huge fan of my Compendium quotes that get emailed to me....this one was especially fantabulously timed for me:

Learn to pause...or nothing worthwhile will catch up to you.
-Doug King-

Dontcha love that?  I think as women, mothers, daughters, paper artists...we tend to pile too much on our "To Do" plate...we all need to step back and take a deep breath every once and awhile...

**Just a reminder**

You won't want to miss out on all the fun & prizes!!!  Check out the Card Patterns Blog for all the details!
