Sweet on You | Wplus9

Happy Saturday!  I've gotten a slow start today.  I couldn't figure out what I wanted to work on this morning.  Here's a card duo I designed this morning, please note, no stamping or copic coloring!

Several weeks ago I picked up a bunch of goodies at WPlus9.  The Sweet On You set is, well, sweet, isn't it?  I don't typically share projects that don't have at least some stamping on them so one would think that this would have beena super quick project, right?  Yeah well, it took me forever to pick my cardstock and then to figure out the layers of ice cream.

I tend to fall back on my Stampin' Up cardstock on Non-DT projects.  This combo is:

Flirty Flamingo + Soft Sky

Then I decided on the gold glitter cardstock, I was also toying with cork but how can you go wrong with glitter?

I used the same overall design on both cards but switched up the card bases.  I LOVE that the sentiments are all intact, meaning I didn't have to search for that apostrophe.

I realize that fall officially starts on Monday but seriously, ice cream is a year round treat.

holiday hugs + CHA

I'm trying to get back into the groove of my regular life.  I had the most wonderful opportunity to attend CHA 2016.  To be able to combine my love of crafting in a venue filled with absolutely talented designers is truly amazing....more on that in a smidge.

I've been wanting to ink up the oh-so-cute WPlus9 Holiday Hugs.  Speaking about talented designers, I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn of WPlus9 but didn't get a chance to get a pic!  It seems to be out of stock everywhere, no big surprise since it's adorable.

My card was absolutely inspired by the following challenges:

If you're a challenge-a-holic like me, you're going to love this new challenge by my bloggie friend, Ka!

--> Sparkles - Embossing - New

Sparkles : Hero Arts Gems
Embossing:  Heat embossed the sentiment
New:  WPlus9 Holiday Hugs

Christmas Card Challenges:

I feel so grateful and fortunate to have been able to attend CHA 2016.  It seems that my trend is to go every other year but it has been 2 years since I last attended.  It's always a treat to see all the new products but honestly, what a bloggers meet up...wow!

How lucky am I to have been able to play in the Hero Arts booth on Saturday/Sunday?!  So thankful to be part of the Hero Arts team/family♡

ellie hello

Okay, I'm smitten with the WPlus9 Bubble Talk set:

cardstock:  recollections/110/white, papertrey ink vellum  paper:  echo park/paper & glue  stamps:  wplus9 bubble talk  ink:  memento tuxedo, various copics  other:  winnie & walter katharine cutaways,  divine twine/palos verde diva stripe

My sweet bloggie friend Piali sent this awesome stamp set to me and hopefully this arrives to her before the posting date:)  I did a smidge of masking and had fun coloring that darling ellie.  Do you see the petite banner (& the tag)?  They're from the Winnie & Walter Katharine Cutaways.  It has been heat embossed with the tiny hearts from the Bubble Talk set.  The twine is new from Whisker Graphics/Divine Twine.  It is the Palos Verde Diva Stripe.

I was inspired by Tag, you're it!

Thanks again for all of my awesome goodies Piali!!!!

warm winter wishes

This accidentally posted earlier, hate it when that happens!

Pink & Kraft

I used the gift tag-snowflake cut file.    I splashed some Mr Huey's on the tag and sprinkled some Neat & Tangled sequins.

The sentiment is from Uniko Studio, Stunning Snowflakes.  A great set that I won.  I stamped the sentiment on vellum so that the pink would still show through.  I finished off the tag with Timeless Twine Bubble Gum Pink.

The kraft base is 3.5 x 5.5 that has been dry embossed.  You can't really tell by the picture but some of the snowflakes have been highlighted with white ink that I smeared on with a dry baby wipe.

I was inspired by

Today's my annual holiday brunch with my friends.  I'm looking forward to it!

Avocado Arts: Winter Fun

Hello!

Ready for some

Now how CUTE is the newest Avocado Arts release?!

I'm up on the Avocado Arts blog but wanted to share one of my clean & crisp cards here:

I love that sweet tree...this is a totally quick card, just used white ink, no heat embossing!

I tend to gravitate towards winter cards than Christmas cards...and love the use of non-traditional colors!

Have a super day!

have a sweet holiday!

I'm back with another card I made for the Avocado Arts November release:

Gotta love that sweet Gingerbread man!

I stamped him in white on the Kraft card base.  I used my WPlus9 circle dies and cut out 2 silver circles.  I have them stacked to, hopefully, give you the impression that the gingerbread man is on a plate.  Unfortunately, someone has taken a bite out of him:)

Isn't Gingerbread Goodness adorable?

Get yours today!

Would love for you to pop by the Avocado Arts blog and leave me some bloggie love!

Never underestimate...

TGIF!

Hello and Happy Friday!

For those of you that have been following me, know that I love my coffee:

This may look like an ordinary tag but let me share some deets!

The kraft base is upcycled packaging!
The PTI fillable frame panel is upcycled from PTI paper packaging.

Here they are x5:

Each of the coffee cozies have been stamped with Fresh Ink Pumpkin on PTI Aqua Mist.  The sentiments are stamped in memento rich cocoa and Fresh Ink Island.

I'm a huge fan of non-traditional holiday colors.  I'm also a huge fan of gift cards, quite frankly giving and receiving.

These tags will accompany coffee gift cards this holiday season.

See the  Latte Love border of stacking cups?  I was originally going to only stamp it once but when I realized it needed to be stamped twice I went ahead and masked off the original image.  Why?   ...because the upcycled cardboard really only accommodated the 5 tags and with my luck, I would have a stamping oopsie  and be outta luck, chuck.

I super love the look of kraft and white ink...add the pop of the fresh orange and aqua color combo...it makes me a happy crafter.

The twine that I'm using with the tags is by Timeless Twine, called Aqua Blue.  All Spools of twine are on sale this week for only $6!

If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm linking up to this month's PTI Blog Hop:

I used the following PTI supplies:

Fillable Frames #1
Heart-2-Heart #1
Latte Love
Aqua Mist cardstock
Tag Sale #5

I'm also playing along with the Fusion Card Challenge #20:

One of my FAV color combos!

Looking forward to hopping around with those of you that link up over at PTI!

with appreciation.

Hello and Happy Sunday!

So, I decided to play along with the gals over at

This is my first version.

I tend to look at my cards with 'new eyes' after I've uploaded them into my blog post.

I decided to tweak it a smidge:

Much Beh-tah.

So here's the scoop on this card:

1.  I put the card base together using the paper pad from my Studio Calico Card kit.

2.  I did my stamping with the WPlus9 Folk Art Florals.  I didn't like the overlaying of the green on the red blooms so I ended up stamping those on separate chevron paper, fussy cutting and laying them directly on top of the original stamping.

3.  I die cut the WPlus9 Written on Ribbon using vellum.  I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo.

4.  I wanted that die cut popped up so I strategically put the Freckled Fawn Dew Drops to cover the foam dots that you can see through the vellum.

5.  I realized I had wanted to stitch the chevron panel and the aqua sides but had already adhered it to the card base.  Those zig zags are SRM stickers, love them.

Here's to a magnificent week!

Fusion #15: bring your own sunshine

Hello and Happy Friday!

We're back with Fusion #15:

Whaddya think?!

Loads of fun, eh?

Check out how I was inspired:

I gotta tell you, I LOVE how Unity Stamps, well, stamp...BUT I'm a clear girl at heart.  I've gotten so spoiled with clear stamps that it's a challenge for me to use others....I still buy woodmounts from Impress...I can't help it, they are so fun & purdy.

Anywho's, here's how I was inspired by the picture:

chalkboard = chalkboard technique
wood frame = Amy Tangerine details
chalkboard = school = grid paper

Be sure to check out my Fusion teamies:

How are you inspired?

I've been slightly MIA since we were on a glorious vaca to New York.  The kids and I spent 4 nights in NY, I have never walked so much.  More deets on the trip on a later date, I'm hoping to do some scrapbookin' here are just a couple of photos:

Thanks so much for stoppin' by...hoping to get caught up on my feedly:

edited to add:  Oh ladies, I wish I had the time to catch up but I failed...miserably...so today starts my Feedly at zero.

...and last but not least...

Thank you so much for all of the awesome birthday wishes.  Yesterday was a super fun day for me and I'm one of those that loves to stretch out the birthday festivities as long as possible {wink}.

so happy for you...

Happy Saturday!

I typically have a Paper Made Bakery post, but my bloggie friend Glenda is up on the PMB blog today...make sure you go check her project out!

Yesterday morning I struggled to design a going away card for my boss.  I've really enjoyed working with her, she has thee best perspective on things, nothing seems to upset her...she's laid back and easy going.  I'm super going to miss her, more than she probably knows but I'm also really happy for her new venture.

She's an orange girl, which is fab since I love to design with orange:

You probably can't tell from the photo, but the fishtail banner has been stitched down with gold metallic thread.

I'm still working on the  Basic Grey Hey You paper pad.   The burlap flower is Little Yellow Bicycle.

The sentiment is by WPlus9, Strictly Sentiments 2.  Such a fun font, dontcha think?

I'm playing along with the gals over at

Cream
Melon
Cantaloupe

Such a fun color combo...my melon color is the button on the burlap bloom.

Lotsa stuff going on on this side of the world today:

Wednesday, July 10, 2013

hello there.

Here's a fun thank you card:

Finally using my WPlus9 Milk & Cookies stamps with coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from the Strictly Sentiments 2.

So what do you see:

chocolate milk

or

frappucino

I actually haven't tried the bottled fraps yet.  My girl loves the Mocha ones...my Brother used to love them and would buy them by the case at Costco....pretty funny for a non-coffee drinker.

All that fun paper is from the Basic Grey Hey You Collection.

I was inspired by the latest Retrosketch:

Have a great day!!!
