Kit Tea Cat | Newton's Nook Designs

What was suppose to be a quick project took longer than I thought but I love how it turned out:

I combined the following supplies from Newton's Nook Designs:

Newton's Mug
Fancy Edges Tag Die Set
Argyle Stencil Set

Do you see what I see?  I used the tags, trimmed them down a bit, to look like Tea Bags.

I was thoroughly inspired by the Inky Paws Challenge [Dang it, I missed the deadline]:

It's the FINAL CAS(E) this sketch:

coffee | reverse confetti

Hello and Happy Saturday!  Can you believe that it will be February on Monday?  The time is going by strangely quick but slow at the same time, know what I mean?

I have a couple projects I wanted to share with you today.  If you've been following me for any length of time you know that I love coffee.  Coffee cards are probably my favorite to design.  I generally start with some stamped images and work from there.  For today's project, I challenged myself to not stamp on my card.  Here's how I was inspired using Reverse Confetti products:

I've been admiring a lot of graphic cards based on shapes:

So if you follow all three designers I'm sure you're nodding your heads for Laura and Joan.  I've always thought of Joe as a floral/color design genius but his recent birthday card with number dies had me thinking the diecutting possibilities.

My card designed came about after my coffee gift idea but let's start with my card.  The color palette was based on my other projects.    I ended up diecutting the circles in both the RC Aqua and Brick cardstock.  I was going to originally use the Circle Rays Duo as a focal point of my card and ditched that idea.

This simple card had me smiling when I finally put it all together.  The heart is from the Big Love confetti cuts.  The 'coffee' is from the Drink More Coffee confetti cuts.  I cut it from both Dark Roast and Premier Polar White.

The circle | heart elements have been adhered with adhesive.  The coffee word is on foam adhesive.  The base is Premier Polar White + Sand.

So, when I first received the Pencil & Treat Holder I wanted to use it with Starbucks Via's.  It wasn't working for me until I saw my teamies folding the holder in half and then boom:

I did some selective scoring, right above the semi circle and on the bottom I scored it twice so it has a gusset, is that the word I'm looking for?

Each of the holders have been cut from RC Aqua cardstock.  I used the Background Builder in RC Aqua ink.  The circle elements on my card came from this design.  A great way to tie the gifts to the card.

There will be a giveaway over in the Coffee Loving Papercrafters FB group!  Check it out over there around 5 am today.

I Like Big Cups

mint to be   |  in the park

These colors are so beautiful together.  In the Park + Cummerbund are both from the new Date Night collection.

The coverage of the Catherine Pooler inks is amazing.  I love using the ink pads direct to paper so that it gives me coordinating cardstock.

Rainbow Collection | Ellen Hutson LLC

I might have a couple rainbow sets and decided to focus on Rainbow Cards a bit.  These will be great to send out for Valentine's/Galentine's Day cards.

Today's stamp set is the Ellen Hutson - Essentials by Ellen - Better Days Ahead set.

I used Catherine Pooler Inks:
Melon Ice
In The Park

The various sentiments were stamped in Catherine Pooler's Black Jack ink.

Do you noticed the heat embossed elements?  I used Lawn Fawn's Rose Gold embossing Powder, love that stuff.

The card bases used direct to paper ink transfer with the Catherine Pooler inks so that it would coordinate.

That's it for me, I'll be back sometime during the weekend with another rainbow design.

Flying By To Say Hello | CTMH

So I've had this cute CTMH Hello Ladybug stamp + Ladybug Shaker Window Thin Cuts set for a bit and finally put them together on a card.

I started with a white A2 panel.  Layered an aqua panel and then lined up a white backed Multi Circle Windows Thin Cuts.

The sentiment strip on the front is from Taylored Expressions - Simple Strips - Crafty, A Crafty Collab with Brutus Monroe.

The Ladybug Shaker Window Thin Cuts makes it so easy to assemble.  The stitched dots are your guide to stamp the dots from the Hello Ladybug stamp set.  I happened to have red brads that matched perfectly with the cardstock.

The inside:

I either don't fill up my shakers enough or I over fill them.  It says:

Flying by to say hello.

Definitely not a postal friendly design but I love all the different elements.

I hope you have an amazing weekend!
