Pumpkin Spice Duo | Kindness of Others

Keeping things real here.  I'm still a die hard blogger at heart.  It's an easier social media for me to view and comment on.  Next month I celebrate 11 years...what? How could that happen?  Although these days I'm always on catch up mode for blogs, please know that I'm trying!!!

I was an IG late bloomer (April 2015).  That being typed, I've made so many IG friends and continue to be in awe of designers that I stumble upon.  So in walks Kelly (thesunshinecrafter1).  We share a mutual love of coffee.   Although based on consumption I think she has more caffeine than I do!  She totally cracked me up with a comment she left regarding her coffee order at Starbucks.  I sent her some happy mail and she sent me back some happy mail which included a beautiful card and a Sizzix Pumpkin Spice stamp + die set.  Score!  I didn't own that set so yesterday I worked on whipping out a couple projects featuring my new goodies:

 Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

So I had that Color Burst background already completed but it didn't work with my original project so I used it with my new goodies!

The Sepia color burst is gorgeous, isn't it?  It is filled with so many different colors.  The mug has been cut from Stampin' Up Baja Breeze (blast from the past, eh?).  The sentiment has been heat embossed with Zing - Apricot.

Happy Fall, Pumpkin

My next card combines Lawn Fawn Chill 6x6 paper + Happy Fall Line Border lawn cut.  I heat embossed the sentiment in black to coordinate with the Happy Fall.

This card was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch:

Big thank you Kelly!  Such a fun set!

Many thanks sunshine

Post 2 of 2 for today...click here for my Neat & Tangled post.

I'm so inspired by challenges that this is a combo of two.  I knew that I wanted to use a smidge of washi since I bought 3 sets of stuff of the stuff (24 rolls total) from M's.

I was inspired by the Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge!

Floral Theme
Pinks
Ombre

Love all the projects by the Guest Designers but was drawn to Diane's beauty of a card!  I was going to originally pop of the Essentials by Ellen Mondo Hydrangea behind the Sizzix Tea Time by Tim Holtz. Then I realized that they would be perfect inside the tea cup!  The Essentials by Ellen Many Thanks is a perfect way to finish off my design!

I couldn't resist playing along because well, check out that pretty tea!  I was inspired by the white tea cup and the colors!

I'm back in class tonight, now I'm in Photoshop CC 2.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

hello there♥

Blogging live again.

It's rainy and windy here in the Pacific Northwest...all you lucky gals that are at CHA get to miss the ickiness.

It is funny when you start a project and what you end up with isn't anything you originally envisioned.

Meet today's card:

I have about 2 handfuls of really pretty Prima blooms.  I don't generally use them, THIS is my last project using one from my stash.  I definitely gravitate to the felt blooms.

I was inspired by

I used the Mama Elephant Good Times set.

Seriously, everyone on the design team had me thoroughly inspired...and ready to buy THIS & THIS.

The patterned paper is from the January Artful Delight Card kit.  Aha, do you spy my new goodie?  I received my Reverse Confetti order yesterday so I put my Double Edge Scallop border to work!  The sentiment flag is from the RC Tag me set.

So, originally I wasn't even thinking of a bloom in my design...but pinterest changed my mind.  Whenever I get an email that someone has pinned something of mine or started to follow me, I always love to see their boards.  There are a ton of marketers out there, eh?  I don't want to follow people that sell sunglasses or purses...long story short, I pinned THIS from another pinner and it was my inspiration....let's face it, Keisha rocks.

Sorry, this is becoming a long post and it is almost time for my third cup of coffee!  Yesterday, I finally dropped off the 3 boxes of crafty supplies to the Seattle Children's Hospital.   Total win/win situation, eh?  It's a great reminder of how grateful I am to have my healthy children.

Some of you may have seen this on FB last night.  I had dinner HERE with the girl and boy last night.

I love my kidlets so very much!

I had fun putting this winter card together:

Yup

me + chalkboard technique

I heat embossed Winter bunny.  I dry embossed the Robins Egg Bazzill card base.  The holly leaves are Bazzill Gumdrop and the berries are MME enamel dots.  I love how they POP!

(Bazzill cardstock from the December Artful Delight card kit)

Any guesses as to how many Lawn Fawn sets I used?

metallic mason.

Howdy!

Today I hope to craft for a majority of the day...how about you?

Here's a skinny card:

The Lawn Fawn Mason Jar from Summertime Charm (thanks Ivy!!!) has been stamped on silver metallic paper by Making Memories.  The blooms are from the Flutter by set, I colored them with copics.

I'm really smitten by the embossing folder, it is Leaves and Diamonds by Sizzix.

I'm not a huge fan of stamping on metallic paper so instead of embellishing the jar with a sentiment, I went for the freckled fawn wood chips.

I'm playing along with the Lawnscaping Challenge

Here's my pin from my Mason Jar board that inspired me:

peace on earth

this is post 1 of 2 for me...please click here for my Fresh Squeezed Stamps post.

I'm going to try to have a pile of Christmas cards by the end of November....

This is the first one for this year....

The rub on is from the retired EAD Designs...

The gingham is Simple Stories and the wood veneer is Studio Calico.

I was inspired by

Jingle Belles

I love that inspiration pic...

I was also inspired by the current

I'll be back in a smidge with a Fresh Squeezed Stamps card:)

Paper Issues Blog Hop: over the river and through the woods....

Hello and Welcome to the Paper Issues Blog Hop!

Today starts a new challenge over at Paper Issues

Stamp on it!

Our Super Sponsor is

Check out the FAB Hero Arts Prizes

You should have arrived here from the Lovely Lori's blog

If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Paper Issues blog!

To be eligible for one of the prizes, all you gotta do is this:

1. Like Hero Arts on FB
3. Leave a comment that you did both
4. Link up a project for a Bonus entry

I had fun playing with this Hero Arts stamp

I had many ideas swirling around but knew that I wanted to do this one first:

[Everybody now]

Over the river and through the woods
To Grandmother's house we go
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow

Over the river and through the woods
Oh how the wind does blow
It stings the toes and bites the nose
As over the ground we go

Ahhhhh...the joys of stamping!

I wanted that image to pop so instead of doing of ton of other stuff...I just die cut and embossed the background.  It's a great way to really make the image be the star of the show AND give your card some extra BAM.

Initially I was going to add the sentiment below but it just took too much of the front panel that I decided to pop it on the inside of the card...

It is from the Hero Arts

Magic of Christmas

I'll be back later on this week with another stampy Hero Arts project!

Have you checked out the Paper Issues shop lately?  TONS of goodness!!!!

from my special 'stache.

This is post 1 of 2 for me today...make sure you check out my The Craft's Meow Preview Day 3!

Hello!

Here's a fun card for ya....

I've had that fun Mustache Embossing folder for awhile and finally decided to use it!

It goes nicely with The Craft's Meow

I'm playing along with the CAS-ual Friday gals:

I broke out my Stampin' Up vellum...it embosses like a dream...

and

I love CASE Study

Check out Joy Taylor's card:

I gotta tell you, my card started off totally different....after my fair share of "grrrrr's"....I changed it up completely but was still inspired by Joy's design.

**Techie Talk**

Woot Woot!  With the help of Darin, we fixed my blog problem...you can now see my right side bar.  One of my posts had pictures that were a smidge too big which made everything go wonky.  I'm popping this here in case I forget the next time it happens....and in the event it happens to one of you ladies:)

winter blossoms moxie fab style...

It's me again...okay, so this isn't a white base but it is a non-kraft base card...I managed to get Sherry to agree that it would be okay:)  {for those that don't know, I'm having a friendly competition with my bloggie friend Sherry...she's a white base girl and I'm a kraft girl so we're switching it up}.

I'm still lovin' the Stampin' Up Long Notes...this one is So Saffron.  I layered up some Creamy Caramel and Blush Blossom.  The top 2 panels have been embossed and what's that?  Well, yes, that is a smidge of a vellum belly band {so to speak}....I even ran it through my crimper...yes, my crimper which hasn't seen the light of day for years...I'm surprised that I could even find the puppy.

I've had the glitz'd up PTI butterfly floating around on my work top so I decided to add her to my mix.

Gotta love that corner chomper...I had someone ask me why I needed one of those...as long as you never use one, you won't think you need one...once you use it, you're hooked.

This lovely color combo is compliments of the current Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:

Oy Vey...I love them...love them for the soft muted colors which I picked up in my card.  I added embossing for the frilly texture within the picture...

Yesterday we actually had sunshine...I'm so ready for spring.
