Design Team:

Here's a quick peek at how I was inspired!  I designed three projects especially for today:

First up is the fun hot pink Vespa card!

I adore this new Vespa die, the possibilities are endless.  I couldn't resist making a scenery with it.  I combined the Sunny Dies + Mini Cloud Dies.  The sentiment is from the Sunnyville stamp set.

Next up, the Cuppa Sunshine Dies!

Okay, aren't they awesome?  The dies are so fun and original.  You'll be seeing these a lot because I like coffee a smidge (wink).  I've die cut the black panel three times and stacked them up.  I cut the solid cup die in pale blue and backed the outlines.  The sentiment is from the new Sunnyville stamp set.

My final card:

Oh my goodness, that sweet sun and that cute bird!  I can't stand all of the cuteness.  I love how the green gingham makes the center focal point POP.

I can't wait to see how the Paper Smooches Design Team and my bloggie friend Emily Leiphart were inspired!

Thank you sooo much for stopping by and a huge shout out to Kim of Paper Smooches for the invite today!

I used Gina K Designs' Wreath Builders, she is one of the many prize sponsors.

Hero Hues Papers, oh wow, such a lovely rainbow of colors.  No surprises that I used the gorgeous PS308 Hero Hues Kiwi.

Check out the interior of my 4.25 x 4.25 card:

The sentiment is from CM299 Tea Time.  Who doesn't love a tea party?!

I went through my blog archives to find a project that featured the Hero Arts Big Owl and found THIS.  I found several others but whoa, my style has change a ton through the years.  Keeping this super real, check out this Hero Arts Haiku Bunny project from the very first month of blogging in 2007.

Yup, I still own those stamps:

Next up is the fabulous Art Impressions!  In case you get lost along the way, here's the complete hop listing:

You should have arrived here from the very awesome Dana Joy's blog.  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning which is the Topflight Stamps' blog!

Today I'm featuring the Darkroom Door - Coffee Time set:

Here's how it inspired me.  I wanted to do a mixed media'ish project.  If you've been following me for any length of time, you know my style is generally clean + simple.  This was a bit of a challenge for me but I had so much fun designing it:

The darkroom door Coffee Time set is really fun.  I love their images and bold sentiments.  Did you know that Topflight Stamps has a Coffee/Tea/Cocoa category in their shop??!!!

I challenged myself to incorporate everyday items that I had in my craft room.  Can you spot them in my design?

I love to buy books from flea markets that I can use in papercrafting.  The panel I used in my project today is from a japanese book that I picked up at a Seattle Japanese Language School rummage sale.  I wish I could tell you when it was printed but I couldn't find any dates typed in english...I can tell you that most of the aging on that panel is real.  I only aged it with distress oxides around the edge.

Green is one of my favorite colors so I added a smidge of green on that panel and then followed up with using the same ink for the coffee cup sleeve.  Something that I recently learned from my Coffee Loving Cardmaker's teamie, Helen Gullet, is to use the interior of a coffee sleeve to distress/add ink to a project.

I then layered the coffee cup rings onto my panel and heat embossed them in white.  I went ahead and cut up my inky coffee sleeve and incorporated it into my design too.  Don't you love how much 'texture' there is in the green coffee sleeve?

That's it for me!  I can't wait to hop around and soak up all of the amazing inspiration.  Next up is Lindsay Weirich!
