Hello!

Here's a pretty crisp card using The Craft's Meow

I heat embossed the leaves in White Zing...

and

{in hot pink!}

I was inspired by the current CR84FN Challenge:

I topped the PTI button with some Pink Sorbet from The Twinery.

Check out the new LESSology Challenge!

LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl

Get creative with bubble wrap!

Our sponsor this month is Heidi Myers, an amazing artist teaching her craft through The Art Studio via Scrapbook News & Review! The winner will get a pass to Part 2 - the narrative and art portion of the online class Words. Words? Words! - Words and Text as Narrative and as Art. This class is valued at $29.99.
You’ll explore the use of words and text to create art just as you would use acrylic paints, ink, paper mache or other art mediums. Words will become both background and focal point. You’ll use text to create and enhance embellishments and you’ll identify 10 ways to mold words into foundations for your art. You’ll also create your own word art and you’ll begin to view everyday props as vehicles to exhibit and enhance your stories

Words. Words? Words! - Words and Text as Narrative and as Art is a four-week workshop broken in two parts. Register for both parts one and two at the same time anytime between July 6th and July 19th for a 10% discount.  Use the promo code WWW612 when purchasing.

Ready to play along? Please link up by Sunday August 5, 11.59pm EST.

just a note to say...

T.G.I.F!

I'm so very glad that it is Friday.  I'm actually blogging live....I started this card last night but finished it this morning:

I finally used my Lifestyle Whimsy embossing folder...when I popped over to their site, I noted several others that I 'need'..oy.

The gray cardstock is from my Bloggie Buddie, Sherry {Thanks Sherry!}....I'm real glad that I picked up PTI's Rosie Posie...you'll be seeing it, alot.  I seem to like to ink it up with memento cantaloupe.

This card was inspired by the current

Isn't it a gorgeous combo?

I made the card especially for one of my bosses...it is her last day today {sigh}.  I'm thrilled that she is starting a new journey in her life but I'm going to miss her.

Just a really speedy quick reminder that Flashback Friday 24.0 ends tonight at 11:59 pm pacific.

For Cath (sans CHA) with Love Blog Hop!!

Hello!

Thanks for joining us in the:

For Cath (sans CHA)
with Love Blog Hop!

...a big yahoo for Lorena and Virginia for putting together this fun Blog Hop!

Make sure you check out the whole list of people that are playing which is available over on Lorena's blog, Paperella Plays and Virginia's blog, Yes, Virginia.

I wanted to put together a cheery card for the oh-so-inspirational Cath:

Seriously though, who doesn't know and love Cath for ALL that she constantly does!  She's not able to make it to CHA because of  a painful injury.  I hope you feel better Cath!!!!!  Please check out Cath's post here.

I was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch:

My choice of colors is ala CR84FN47:

Did you see the latest LESSology Challenge?!!!

We want to see what you do with blooms, glorious blooms! Remember to include at least one upcycled item on your project!

Our sponsor is Vintage Street Market who is offering a fab prize package!

My bloom was sculpted {sounds fancy, eh?} with a wet strip of PTI Hawaiian Shores.  I squeezed out all the excess and shaped it how I liked...it dried and I topped it off with a pearl...easy smeasy:)  Can you spot my upcycled product?  That acetate flag has been cut from packaging that had a birthday candle.  I backed it with patterned paper...all the patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Heart Collection.  Everything is nestled on a white cardstock base...did you notice the sweet pink stitching?

Thanks soooo much for poppin' by!

it's good to have a hobby...

 Happy Friday!

Can you believe that it is almost mid-January?!

Here's a happy card filled with fun colors.

The sculptured flower is from the very lovely Karen Baker...The string is recycled from a Lawn Fawn order:)

My colors were inspired by the latest CR84FN45:

My bloggie friend li-bee-ti alerted me to a fun challenge over at Get Creative:

It's to design a card with a tag that is the focal point!  My card fits perfectly for the challenge!  Thanks li-bee-ti!!!!

I hope you have a FAB Friday!!!

scrappy sunday

It seems that I keep posting later and later on the weekends and that they are live posts as opposed to scheduled...ahhhh...not enough hours in the day but I'm a persistent whipper snapper that needs her crafty time!

Have you noticed that Scrappy Saturday is turning into Scrappy Sunday?

blogger is NOT cooperating with me...so I'll have to come back later and fix this picture

This layout turned out a ton more labor intensive that I had originally planned...

Check out all that stitching...I'm not usually good about remembering to fill up my bobbin and then it ends up running out...hate that when that happens.  So before I finished off one of the strips on the upper portion of the layout, I took the time to load up my bobbin with more thread.  I'm pretty happy with myself {I mean come on, it is a good feeling to be proactive on things!}....I was a 'zig zaggin' a way...finished up and then took a look at the layout....grrrrrr.....my stitching was wonky...I must not have threaded the machine correctly because it was horrible....So I proceeded to take what seemed like 30 minutes to take out the stitching {note to self, buy seam ripper}...and fixed it up....ahhhh...

The pic of me and Darin was taken at my friend Laurel's wedding on August 6th.  I love the pic in classic black and white but had to sneak in a color pic so that you could see my fancy smancy metallic cardigan sweater:)

I was inspired by the latest challenge over at Sketchy Thursdays:

The Echo Park paper I used was perfect for the current CR84FN challenge:

It was quite the challenge because it seemed like every piece of paper from that Echo Park collect had been sliced into so I had to piece my layout together:)  The bird cage in the upper right hand corner is from the packaging.

Typing about upcycling...

Just a reminder that the LESSology challenge ends today at 11:59 pm EST...

Our Super Sponsor is Creative Charms!!!

Psssttt.....check THIS out....I'm sue-pah excited!!!!!!!
