Hello and Happy Friday Eve!

I'm popping in here speedy quick to share my card that posted on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog the other day:

Isn't the Subway Series so much fun?  It has been stamped on Studio Calico paper.  The polka background....why yes, that is washi tape.

I'm a huge fan of heat embossing.  Most of my embossing powder is American Crafts Zing...I'm guessing because I picked it up on a Crafty Steals or something...One thing that I've recently started to use is the 'ole embossing buddy:

It's crazy how much that thing works....There are tons of 'homemade' recipes HERE.  Um, no, I didn't make mine.

Why yes, this is the November Studio Calico Card Kit...

I'm a smidge behind.

I super love the colors in the kit but was puzzled about all the brads...I'm so not a metal brad girl...sigh.

I added my Jane's Doodles Fimo Button and Timeless Twine

Skipping Stones Design: Thank You Hop!

another busy day on my 2 of 2...please click HERE for my Timeless Twine post

Hello and Welcome to the Skipping Stones Design Thank You Hop!

You should have arrived here from the Super Stephanie Mino's blog

If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Skipping Stones Design blog!

I was asked by Katie Gehrig {thanks Katie!!!} to be part of this fun party to thank Skipping Stones Design owner, Heather, for all her talent.

For those that follow me, you know how much I LOVE tags....

I was totally inspired by THIS card.   Can you tell on my card that the zig zag stitching is with gold thread to go with the gold embossing?

I took the twine off of one of my shipping tags and colored it with a copic market to give it a look of leather.  Can you see the peek-a-boo cork behind the little taglet flag?

The envelope is actually a kraft bag that I trimmed and finished it off with scallop scissors...

I was able to use 2 of my FAV Skipping Stones sets

Katie has some Skipping Stones Design Blog Candy...Comments must be received by Sunday, February 3 and will be announced on her blog and the Skipping Stones blog on Monday, February 4.

There is still time to purchase many of the Skipping Stones Design Stamp sets on sale!  Check out the PMS Sale deets HERE.

Now hippety hop over to Cyndi's blog

Timeless Twine: Kawaii Mittens

busy day on my 1 of HERE for a special Skipping Stones Design blog hop!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I'm over on the Timeless Twine blog today!

Here's a peek at my project:

I used Timeless Twine's

I contacted the artist of those CUTE mittens to find out if I could post my project using her PDF and she said yes!  If you pop over to the Timeless Twine blog, I have the PDF linked :)

A little bit about the book I used...My father was the Editor of the book and gave it to me back in 1997, just before my boy was born.  I chat a ton about my Momma here but not so much my Dad.

He passed away in 1999 of lung cancer as a non-smoker.  It's my personal opinion that it was due to second hand smoke he endured while living in Japan.

Sadly, I didn't have much of a relationship with my Father....we moved when I was in 2nd grade.  I remember he would take us to places like  THIS.....and I'd be horribly bored but as an adult, I love to go to museums.  I attribute graduating from the University of Washington in 2006 to my Dad.  He never had a 'poker face' and those that know me, know that I don't either.

This post is dedicated to my Dad.  I'm certain that he'd be proud that I'm pursuing my passion.

PTI Blog Hop: Enjoy everyday.

This is post 2 of 2 for me today...please check out my Neat & Tangled post HERE

Check out this 'lil card...all 3x3 inches of it:

Why yes, I do love that chalkboard technique and the messier the better!

It is the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

I was inspired by everything but the "white outlines" caught my eye....oh I wish I had lemon stamps like that....but what I did use with the Friendship Jar set was Rosie Posie.  I heat embossed the blooms with Lime Zing.  The white ink is Fresh Snow...lovin' that lately.  I did some masking and finally used Handwritten Notes that I've had it for awhile...LOVE that sentiment.

I'm also linking up to Moxie Fab Worlds

Good things come in small packages:)

I can't wait to check everybody's projects's so inspirational for me!

kindness matters...

this is post 1 of 2 for today...please check out my PTI blog hop post HERE
TODAY is my last Guestie post over on the neat & tangled blog!

I accidentally posted THIS card on Sunday instead of today...sigh.  I was typing it up/prescheduling it and then went to the movie Argo.  That puppy is 2 hours long!  We enjoyed it though.  Afterwards I was checking my email and was wondering about some comments that I had received only to realize that I totally posted my n&t card way too early!

Anywho's, I whipped up this one for today:

Why yes, I am smitten with black cardstock and the chalkboard technique.  This card uses 2 different neat & tangled sets:

a{nother} super big shout out to Danielle and her Design Team!

I had such a fun time this month ladies!!!!!!

I'd love for you to leave me some bloggie love over on the neat & tangled blog!

share the love.

I'm still on my Self-Challenge to use what I've hoarded...

Can you spot them in today's card?

That glorious green Studio Calico paper is one of them....the other is the fine Avocado Arts Perfect Blend stamp set that I won...actually I won a total of 3 Avocado Arts sets!!!

Share the love..journal card from Amy Tan's Ready Set Go are the papers that I pieced the to-go cup with!

This card is for my Momma's birthday, which is next month.  She is a diehard Starbucks fan.  She goes daily, has a cup of drip and reads her book {green with envy here!}...As so many of you know, I too am a Starbucks fan....I gotta tell you though, I might switch over to Seattle based Tully's coffee for the new owner.

4 words for you:

Sweet Mother of Pearl.

I'm playing along with the gals over at CAS-ual Friday:

My card measures 3x6.  Such a fun size!

Hey There!

Today I have a couple of things:

I also topped it off with Timeless Twine's

Perfect for today's new

I used this photo as my inspiration...there are a couple to pick from AND there's a digi freebie...make sure you pop over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog!

This is also for the

Anything But a Card Challenges

Pop over to the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog for all the deets about Squeeze-A-Palooza!

This posted yesterday over on the Fresh Squeezed Stamps blog!

I was inspired by the current CASE study:

Although it doesn't look like it, this card was labor intensive with a ton of masking....I even masked the straws!  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a lazy stamper so masking is a big deal for me:)

I used

The sentiment is from

I colored in the straw with copics and I backed the sentiment with my fav glitter cardstock from American Crafts!

Have a soda-rific day!!!

The rub on is from the retired EAD Designs...

The gingham is Simple Stories and the wood veneer is Studio Calico.

I was inspired by
