baby, it's cold outside + Seasons Givings Blog Hop Winners!

post 1 of 2 for today...click HERE for the Reverse Confetti January Release Day Two.

My super awesome friend, Kimberly, gifted me this adorable Lawn Fawn Winter Alpaca set.  She's the sweetest, because she knows that Alpaca's run in my family...LOL...check it out HERE.

I was smitten with the way Chari Moss colored her alpaca HERE.  I tried to duplicate that look.  She used coloring pencils but I masked off his face and scarf and used Tea Dye Distress ink and a mini round ink blending tool.  Just enough color so that he pops off of the oval panel (p.s. having him on foam tape helps too!).

So, I'm on a mission to use up the bazillion paper collections I own.  Sadly, I'm not exaggerating about the quantity.  This card is a petite greeting at 3.5 x 5.0 inches.

I was thoroughly inspired by the Muse challenge:

Muse

Now how fun is Michele's card?  If you didn't know, I'm a popcorn-a-holic♡

aha, do you see the inspiration:

black, white + red✔︎
black + white panel✔︎
oval focal point✔︎
clean + crisp design✔︎

Thanks to Michele for the awesome inspiration!

Super happy to be also able to link up to the Lawnscaping Challenge:

snail mail...

Texture, I love texture.....

cardstock:  recollection/110/white, bazzill marshmallow  stamps:  lawn fawn gleeful gardens  ink:  memento, various copics, stampin' up blendabilities  other:  lawn fawn gleeful gardens lawn cuts, peerfless watercolors, stampin' up embossing folder

This card is 4.25 inches squared.  The embossing folder is by Stampin' Up.  All the stamps are from Lawn Fawn's Gleeful Garden.  A set that I've had for a while and have only inked up one other time.  It's the first time I used the coordinating dies...so many goodies, not enough time.

All the images have been colored with copics/blendabilities.  The grass + clouds are ala Peerless.  Love those pools of color!   Everything has been adhered by foam tape.

I was inspired by the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

Lawnscaping + Caffeine = Happiness♡

This post will remain pinned to the top of my blog through Sunday...click HERE for my Super Special Birthday Blog Hop Post.

Yay!  Did you see that Lawnscaping Challenges is having a Caffeine Blog Hop?!

I like love caffeine!

The fun starts at the Lawnscaping Challenges' blog!  I'm thrilled to be a guestie!  Some of you might know that I ♡ Coffee :)

YOU could be a lucky winner...just leave a unique comment on all the blogs participating in the hop!

So, I couldn't wait to put together the FUN Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag!!!!!

cardstock:  strathmore watercolor  paper:  carta bella  stamps:  lawn fawn/love you a latte  ink:  memento tuxedo, various copics  other:  lawn fawn/goodie bag lawn cut, wplus9 circle die

I stamped and colored a coffee cup from the Love You A Latte set....  After die cutting a circle on the front panel of the Goodie Bag, I backed it with the colored image.

Want to know what's inside the Goodie Bag?

A trio of mini coffee cards:

They measure a petite 2.75 x 4.0 inches and drop perfectly into the Goodie Bag!

Background stamping...I'm trying to incorporate it into my designs more because I just love the look.  The coffee mugs have been stamped with Fresh Ink Charcoal and I then layered a panel of vellum on top.  I finished off the card with a Scripty Thanks Veneer.

cardstock:  recollections/110/white, papertrey ink vellum  stamps:  lawn fawn/love you a latte  ink:  fresh ink/charcoal  other:  lawn fawn/scripty thanks veneer

This next one has multi-layers of goodness but I tried to keep the overall design clean & simple.  The sentiment is from the You Got Mail set.

cardstock:  recollections/110/white  paper:  simple stories/i am  stamps:  lawn fawn/love you a latte & you've got mail  ink:  memento/tuxedo, copic  other:  freckled fawn washi, studio calico heart veneer

I'm definitely been bitten by the coloring bug...this next card uses various distress markers for coloring that I followed up with a watercolor brush.  I love anything watercolored these days!

cardstock:  papertrey ink kraft,  strathmore watercolor  stamps:  lawn fawn/love you a  latte & gleeful gardens  ink:  ranger/archival/black, ranger distress markers  other:  freckled fawn washi, a jillian vance chalkboard backdrop die.

Whew!  You made it through my very long post!  What was going to be one card turned into a mini project!

So before you start hopping....lookie what I have for one lucky duck:

lucky me.

I love a good challenge.

I've been wanting to play over in

I picked up a ton of the new Essentials by Ellen before we left for Japan and I'm just now getting to play with them.

I knew that I wanted to use the Laurel Wreath, in gold, but of course!  Then I looked over my Lawn Fawn goodies and HA, are you surprised that I added the coffee mug?

cardstock:  recollections/110/white  stamps:  essentials by ellen/fancy thanks  ink:  ranger/archival/black, picked raspberry distress ink, various copics  other:  american crafts gold glitter cardstock, beading hemp twine

The sentiment is from Fancy Thanks...oh, I LOVE that set.
