Lil' Inker Designs Day One: But First, Coffee.

Post 1 of 2 for HERE for Curtain Call's Beach Ball Challenge

Lil' Inker Designs Blog

I'm sooooo thrilled to be Guesting with Lil' Inker Designs for their June Release!  Today is Day 1 of the fun!  You should have arrived here from the awesome Lisa Henke's blog!  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning of the hop which is the Lil' Inker Designs Blog!

Look what I had the pleasure to play with

Um, yup, this set is seriously screaming my name, eh?!

I had so much fun playing with this set, I can't wait to show you my project for today:

I LOVE creating hoop projects!  This one is 3 inches in diameter and is the perfect size for that iced coffee image, dontcha think?  I colored the cup in with various copics and then stamped the ice cubes in Fresh Ink's Cocoa.  I masked off a majority of the lid and stamped the green straw {diehard starbucks fan that I am}.

I can't wait to hop along and see what the AWESOME LID Design Team created!

Now hippety hop over to Laura Williams' blog!  In case you get lost along the way, here is the hop listing for today!

Two Paper Divas Guest Designer: Let's get together

I'm super thrilled to be guesting for Two Paper Divas!  I had so much fun playing with the Just Poppin' By set.   It screams retro to me so I designed another card using the fun Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Collection.  Check out my last project I designed for Two Paper Divas.

Isn't that refrigerator fun?!  No coloring, I let the paper and washi do all the work for me.

Love the sentiment and how it fits right into the banner perfectly!

Check out the Just Poppin' By set, isn't it FUN?!!!!

I'd love for you to swing over to the Two Paper Divas Blog and tell them hello!  A big shout out to Gayle & Melissa for having me this month!  I really enjoyed myself!

mondo friends.

cardstock:  misc ivory, strathmore watercolor  paper:  mme  stamps:  essentials by ellen/mondo magnolia  ink:  gold embossing powder  other:  peerless watercolors, create a smile/chippie, your next stamp/gumdrops

Hopefully you know how I was's my take on the current Muse:  Joan B

Check out her FABulous card:

I'm such a fan of her work, make sure you follow her blog:  dear paperlicious

I was inspired by her overall design and decided to use the Essentials by Ellen, Mondo Magnolia as my focal point.

Joan RAK'd me several squares of Peerless Watercolors so I used that to color in that gorgeous Magnolia.  The beauty of the Peerless Watercolors is that the colors are vibrant depending on the amount of water you use with them.  Although my watercoloring isn't considered 'even', I love that splashy look.

The Your Next Stamps Gum Drops {enamel dots} are such a compliment to the MME glittery paper, dontcha think?  I managed to dehoard a Create a Smile those...this particular 'friends' one is perfect!

Happy Friday my friends♡

is it Friday yet?

cardbase:  a muse  paper:  pebbles/oh happy day  stamps:  paper smooches/cyber cafe & hot concoctions  other:  paper smooches/coffee & tea/basic notebook dies, papertrey ink vellum, stampin' up white embossing powder

So, I've been hoarding this Pebbles paper collection, Happy Day, a lot.   I decided it was time to cut into the fun papers!

If you follow the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Facebook Page, I tend to post a ton of fun coffee mugs like the one on my card.  The mug is comprised of 2 different panels but that yellow bloom stickers camouflages it perfectly!

Although this is a photo of the 12x12 sheet, there is a similar one in the 6x6 pad:

There wasn't quite enough of the solid color on the right side of the image that I used so I used the large mug in the Paper Smooches Coffee & Tea Dies and centered the sentiment in the middle of the cup.  I then used the die again and cut using the coordinating color (for the handle).  I trimmed up the sentiment panel and layered it on top of the coordinating color layer.

Do you see the glittery foam/whip from the Hot Concoctions set?

The sentiment is ala Cyber Cafe.  Love the Notebook Basic Die!

pineapple hello.

So, I'm a big fan of Neon....reminds me of my youth...LOL.  I'm also smitten with pineapples so I combined the two on this 3.25 x 5.5 inch card:

cardstock:  strathmore watercolor, glitter cardstock from M's  stamps:  reverse confetti/pineapples aplenty & color me happy ink:  hero arts neon pink, hero arts neon orange dauber  other:  reverse confetti/pineapples aplenty confetti cuts

Gotta love the Pineapples Aplenty by Reverse Confetti!

Perhaps not visible is the amount of texture on this card.  I love using watercolor paper as my card base because it gives the overall design a richness.  I added a fun pop of glitter cardstock.

Seriously, how can anyone resist a neon pink pineapple?!

I've been playing more with my highly neglect daubers.  I simply did 3 swipes with the Neon Orange.  The contrast in colors makes me a happy crafter.

I was inspired by (CAS)E this Sketch:

thinking of you.

The other day I was up on the

I wanted to go ahead and share my project here too:

cardstock:  papertrey ink vellum paper:  glitz/dapper dan  stamps:  a jillian vance design/coffee & jesus  other:  a jillian vance design mini bag/watering can & {die}lightfully charming circle die, pebbles sticker, may arts twine

I used the A Jillian Vance Design Mini Bag die and combined it with the Watering Can Die to create a mug!  (Cheers to Bunny Vance for sharing THIS).

The mug is cut from vellum and the sentiment is from the Coffee & Jesus set using the {die]lightfully charming circle die.

I picked up some Dapper Dan by the green and woodgrain together!  {what happened to Glitz Design?!}

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I have a project to share that didn't turn out how I thought it would but I still like the end results:

cardstock:  strathmore watercolor, stampin' up gold metallic  stamps:  stampin' up/you're wonderful  ink:  ranger/archival/black, distress markers, fresh ink fuchsia  other:  stampin' up banner framelits, paintbrush

Here's the photo I posted on IG on Friday morning:

I had stamped the blooms with Ranger Archival ink but guess what?  It ran when I hit it with the diluted reinker/water!  So I had to cut out the banner again, stamp, mask, stamp and start all over.  The 2nd time I used my Distress Markers and a paintbrush.  I do love that look!  The colors turned out softer since I don't have all the Distress Marker Colors.

LOVE the Stampin' up You're Wonderful (photopolymer) set:

Have you seen the new TGIF Challenges?  So much wonderful inspiration....Loved receiving an HM for TGIF02....super honored.

Here's to a relaxing weekend!

I couldn't wait to ink up a brand new release set that I bought from Newton's Nook!

I used the adorable

Granted, there are no tassels on my card, but I incorporated the colors from the inspiration photo into my card.  I even splatted a bunch of gold Hero Arts Color Ink Spray.  I was so excited when I bought that bottle at Impress but have been hoarding it for so long!

cardstock:  stampin' up pear pizazz, strathmore watercolor  stamps:  newton's nook/vegetable medley  ink:  ranger/archival/black,  distress markers, hero arts gold color ink spray  other:  misc washi,  stampin' up deco labels framelits die
